How am I supposed to feel? Everything that's happened just keeps adding on to our long list of bad events. I have said it so many times already, but right now... I don't know how to feel. What else can I feel? Willis is dead. Someone who Alex, Nattily, and I had grown to know. He was a bit of a workaholic, and he didn't handle rest time very well either, but he loved his family though, and his daughter. What was he thinking?! Why did he have to die...?
I had dragged Alex out of there. I saw a door open up from behind, and watched Nattily follow us really close. Once I saw the door open behind us, I took the chance and pulled him out. We made it outside somewhere. So I had let go of Alex as he stared at the door and punched it.
We are in some sort of a garage. Except that it doesn't have any walls blocking off the outside. Were underneath another floor, it seems like. A bright light is shining from in front of us.
I am covered in blood, dirt, and filth. The only things clean being everything under my jacket. I felt a swift breeze blow past me. I looked out of the opening. It's bright. I can hardly make out the green grass that covers the ground. It looks like a field. Where are we?
I turned around to see Alex with his head against the door. His hand next to him, still in a fist, before he slammed the door again. When it cracked suddenly, and swung open to show nothing but a wall behind it. Alex only stared off at it. I need to say something. I can't take any of this anymore.
I walked to Alex and stopped. I can't just say anything. You can go through with this...
I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Alex... I-"
Alex cut her off.
"We've already seen too much death. After I remembered everything about Redrick- I realized how much Willis reminded me of him. Then he had to die too. I am not going to let him or Willis or anyone else have died in vain. We have to stop him, that man. But... I don't want you there with me when I go."
Is that how he feels... He has no idea.
"Alex, I am not going to stay behind and wait for you. No matter what you say, I'm going!"
I'm sure he won't try and stop her.
Alex grunted as he stood up. He looked at me with an angry look and yelled,
"I can't lose you Kairi! Don't you understand! Without you, I would finally crack-I-!"
A tear ran down my cheek. How you would feel huh. He has never even thought about it has he!
"And what if I lose you Alex! Don't you know how I would feel? Every time, you just throw yourself out there without thinking how I feel about you getting hurt or if you're going to be alright, how much I worry about you?!"
I started crying full tears. How can Alex be so oblivious?! Idiot!
Alex, looked down at the floor and said,
"Kairi, I... I'm sorry Kairi. I forgot about how you are supposed to feel when I... I'm sorry Kairi. I..."
Alex drifted away from his sentence as we heard an engine sound. I looked quickly in that direction, to see a truck, headed towards us. It is blue, rusted and old. It has its tailgate missing as it flew off and had two people driving it. I can hardly make them out though.
The truck made it to us before we even had a chance to react. Whether it was an enemy or not. But since we aren't dead yet, I'll suppose they are good guys. The truck turned around, then shifted to reverse and moved backwards until they were about a few feet from the open doorway to nowhere. Two people jumped out of the truck. One is a young kid, about fourteen, it looks like. A girl jumped off on the other side. She looks about the same age.
