2 MONTHS LATER:
Teddy POV:
"Thank you, sir. Thank you so much," and with that I hung up the phone feeling happier than ever. I blanked out, dreaming and thinking of the new page in my life when I'd be starting university in the new year. I barely noticed Mom step into my room.
"Honey, how did it go?" she asked.
"The last minute phone interview went surprisingly well. Luck was on my side for once..." I felt a smile creeping up on my face once again, "there was one spot left. Some person dropped out. I'll be starting in January!" I couldn't help but exclaim that last part.
"That's great," she said, pulling me into a mama bear hug. "Go up and tell your father. Gabe and Charlie are video chatting with him."
I ran up the stairs and walked towards the loud voices I heard in the kitchen.
"Dad!" I exclaimed, even though I talk to him almost every day. Gabe and Charlie shut up instantly and slowly backed away from the laptop, waving their hands.
"Hey, Teddy. How's it going?" he asked.
"Great, dad," I said with a smile.
