The Visit

Chapter 23: The Visit

Teddy POV:

I woke up today at like 12:00pm. Gabe is actually still in bed. I'm still tired, but I forced myself to wake up.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV; something I actually missed for the past few days.

Then the doorbell rang.

I sat for about a couple seconds until no one came to answer it, therefore I had to.

I was still in my pyjamas and I struggled to walk to the door. I looked like a mess and I'm extremely tired.

I opened the door and the last person who I wanted to see stood in the doorway.

As soon as he saw me his face broke out into a grin as he was trying hard not to laugh.

"Teddy..." he said through giggles.

"Just let it out, Spencer."

Then he burst out laughing and I couldn't help but laugh as well.

As the laughing died down, he said, "So I was meaning to talk to you."

"Yeah, so I heard." I said.

"I wanted to ask, if... we could get back together." he said, shyly.

"Wait, why? Aren't you with Vonnie?" I asked.

"Vonnie? Who?" he asked, clearly clueless.

"She told me you two were dating!" I exclaimed, surprised with his reaction.

"I'm serious, Teddy. I have no idea who this Vonnie person is or why she would say we are dating." he explained.

I shook my head, not willing to believe his answer.

"Teddy, I swear. I'm not dating...whatever her name is." he said. And he looked me straight in my eyes.

I knew he wasn't lying for sure this time.

"Fine, Spencer. I believe you."

"So what's your answer?" he asked.

"My answer to what?"

"Do you want to get back together, Teddy?" He asked, holding my hands.

I was staring into his deep, loving brown eyes.

I then let go of his hands and stepped back, just realizing what I might've done.

"I'm sorry. I'm still with Beau."

"Beau..." he muttered.

"I'm sorry." I said once more.

"Me too." he said in almost a whisper.

After a while of awkward silence, he said, "I thought you both were over. Teddy, you're the one I want."

I sighed. "Spencer, I thought you didn't want to be, even friends with me anymore when I chose Beau over you."

"I know I said that. I was wrong." he said apologetically.

"Sorry, Spence...I mean Spencer." I sadly said.

He waved his hand goodbye and walked out from my house.

I closed the door and went back to the TV, still thinking about my encounter with my ex-boyfriend.

I didn't expect him to as me to be his girlfriend, again.

On another note, why would Vonnie say she's dating Spencer?

I'm so confused right now.
