For I am a forgettable face

Among the sea of masses

On this big, round planet

The one that still gives me shivers

When I hear it today

You've forgotten my eyes

The way they once looked into yours

When you look at the stars

You don't recall

When we looked at them together

Watching the shooting stars

Fly across the sky

To their new destinations

You've forgotten the girl

Whose life you changed

Whose heart your captured

Not with words

Or promises

But with simple gestures

Of kindness

Of caring

And laughter

The girl who has grown up

From duckling to swan
