Listening to the wind
Howling outside
My mind wonders
Back to that Friday
All that was
Said and done
Feels like a
Bad dream
I can't seem
To wake up from
But oh
How much I want to
My mind
Neurons hard wired
For eons
To over-analyze
Pause
Rewind
Replay
A broken record
Without a stop
In sight
The usual
Spinning in circles
Could of
Should of
Would of
All too late
By the time used
And would they
Have made
A difference
I could
What if
Until I'm blue
In the face
Doesn't change
A damn thing
There was
Absolutely nothing
I could have done
Or changed
I did the very
Best I could
With the limited
Instruction given
Yes, I'm smart
Hard working
Self-sufficient
Intuitive
Take the bull
By the horns
Type of gal
But what I'm not
Is psychic
And clairvoyance
Doesn't count
Nor am I a
Mind reader
Or
Super woman
I'm human
With human flaws
Faults
Negativity
Misconceptions
I'm allowed
To make mistakes
Can't turn back time
It is not mine
To turn back
Just wish I could
Pause
Replay
Stop
Erase
