Around and around we go

Same every time

Something is missing

A windy, cold, stormy presence

My heart shivers against the cold

It needs warmth and sunlight

Can't take the icy existence

It needs someone to thaw it from its mold

Wants thought and care

Wrapped in a warm blanket

Never alone again

But when left to its own devices

It starts to wonder

Does anyone care?

Really care

The seeds of doubt are planted

And getting them out is hard

My heart shivers against the cold

Closing my eyes and wonder

Is this real?

Or just a figment

Of the imagination

Why all the negativity

When all seems to be well

Will I be destined to be

An alien bloomer forever?

With thoughts of loneliness

When I'm supposed to not be?

Will someone come

Some day and take the coolness away

I need the warmth of heat

Of a positive energy

Turn your head to me

Let me see you

Know that I'm not alone

Can you do that?

Whoever you may be?

You

Who will you be?

Who?

Who?

Who?

My heart shivers against the cold

For never

My heart shivers with light

On the horizon

Give me the peace

I so desperately seek.....
