When speaking
With someone
Words on a page
Become
The road
To their soul
Even if we've
Never met
If you are kind-hearted
I will care
Will worry
For your wellbeing
Why?
Heck, I don't know
Just the way I am
I've met some
Amazing people
Over the years
Some whom I still
Speak with
Many years later
Transcending
Many miles
A 2 dimensional smile
A virtual hug
Can go a long way
On a bad day
Just like the song says
"You'll be in my heart"
You've made my day
Made me smile
For that I thank you
Lifelong friends
Can live on the other side
Of the world
And still feel like
They're right
Next door
Our world
Has enough
Negativity
Hatred
Frowning
Why not
Unite the continents
Even through
Typing
Pen pals
Of the
21st Century
All it takes
Is an act of kindness
However small
To make people who've
Never met
Closer than ever
