For what we have

Eat the turkey

Get stuffed

Spend quality time

With family and friends

This year

Of 2011

I fly away again

To the west

To spend

This holiday

With people dear

To my heart

Leave home behind

For some fun

In the sun

But most importantly

What do I have

To be thankful for?

Anything?

Well but of course

Even though lots

Of pieces of the

Puzzle are missing

Not the time for that

On this day

Of Thanksgiving

I give thanks

To G-d and my faith

For my microscopic

But loving family

I give thanks

For the air I breathe

For the wonders of this world

Not taken for granted

For my wonderful friends

Who are welcoming me

With open arms today

I give thanks

For being able to follow

My dreams

Getting my MBA

For starters

1.5 years left

I give thanks

For being alive

For living each day

Slowly

For not faltering on

My convictions

As this plane

Speeds to

Its destination

I review all that

I'm thankful for

Closer and closer

To my 6 day reprieve

From thinking and learning

Studying and exams

That makes me smile
