chapter 17.5

I walked into the house and put my purse down in the kitchen.

Bey:"Jewel dinner will be ready soon!"

Jewel:"ok."

I sat at the bar and scrolled down to my cooking class and clicked on my assignment.

Bey:"ha spaghetti that shouldn't be to hard."

I whispered more to myself. I began cooking the spaghetti following the instructions and shortly after I was finished and nothing was burnt or undercooked.I tasted some of it before I called jewel down to have some and it was bomb.

Bey:"jewel dinner is ready."

Jewel:"ok be down in a sec."

I set the table making sure everything was properly placed on the table.Jewel came down the stairs with a trash can.

Bey:"what's the trash can for?"

Jewel:"in case I vomit not hurting your feelings or anything but if I get sick you don't me to puke on your hardwood floor so I have a trash can."

I guess she had a point so I let it slide.She sat down at the table and looked at the food she took a deep breath and started eating.I could tell she wasn't trying to eat it but then she started chewing it and I seen the smile creep up on her face.

Jewel:"momma this is good who made this?"

Bey:"I did!"

Jewel:"no for real mom."

Bey:"I'm serious I'm taking cooking classes on my phone and this was my first assignment."

Jewel:"omg my mother can cook do you know what this means?"

Bey:"what?"

Jewel:"no more Popeyes!"

Bey:"ummm nope back it up back it up we are still going to eat at Popeyes sorry."

Jewel:"ok only because I know you like it a lot."

Bey:"yes I do now how are you doing with all the changes?"

We were sitting talking about Jay and Sanaa and what goes on sometimes at their house.

Jewel:"o yea one day when I was over there daddy left to go get me and blue some ice cream and soda from the grocery store when he left Sanaa invited some guy over I don't know who he was cause I didn't see his face but they went into the room and didn't come out for a while like right up until daddy got home then he left."

I dropped my fork all this time I'm trying to compete with Sanaa and trying to win Jay back and she's cheating on him.I guess the saying is right

Bey:"well that's interesting I'll be sure to let Jay know."

Jewel:"when?"

Bey:"at the wedding."

I mumbled under my breathe.Out of no where jewels phone began to ring and she knows no phones at the table.She pulled the phone out of her pocket.

Bey:"hand it here."

Jewel:"but mommy."

Bey:"hand it over."

She pouted but handed me her phone.

Bey:"who is keyton?"

Jewel:"a friend of mine."

Bey:"and how do you know this friend?"

Jewel:"he lives next door to daddy."

Bey:"so I'm gonna take a wild guess that you have had some social interactions with him?"

Jewel:"yes because he comes over sometimes to play with me and blue."

Bey:"does your father know when he's over?"

She looked down.

Jewel:"no ma'am."

Bey:"so let me get this straight you have a guy friend that comes over your fathers house to play with you and blue and your father doesn't know?"

Jewel:"yes."

Bey:"listen to me and listen to me good ok?"

Jewel:"yes ma'-am."

Bey:"you are too young to be doing what your doing ok if he wants to play you can ask your father to go outside and play and I swear if that little boy touches you I will try my best to break all of his fingers do you hear me?"

Jewel:"yes mommy."

Bey:"good now since I want you to have friends I'm gonna excuse you from dinner just this once so you can go upstairs and call him back but leave that door open."

Jewel:"ok."

She snatched the phone from me and ran upstairs.

Bey:"don't snatch nothing from me or else I will snatch you."

I got up and picked up her plate and cleaned her mess.I put her plate in the microwave and went to sit back down to finish my food when the house phone rang.

Bey:"ughhhh!!"

I got up and went to answer it.

Bey:"what!"

Jay:"well damn attitude problem or nah?"

Bey:"no I don't have an attitude problem you have a problem with my attitude and that's not my problem so what do you want?"

Jay:"well then who pissed in your corn flakes?"

Bey:"look I'm about to hang up I was in the middle of eating my dinner so hurry up."

Jay:"umm Sanaa wants to know if you will go dress shopping with her?"

Bey:"and why couldn't she ask me that herself?"

Jay:"because she is already on the way to your house and left her phone here."

Bey:"then how did she tell you to call me?"

Jay:"I don't know ask her when she get there?"

Bey:"how the hell YALL get all my damn information got my address how did you even know I had a house phone?"

Jay:"I got it from jewel."

Bey:"ok I'll talk to her later."

Jay:"could you tell Sanaa that I'm fixing dinner tonight?"

Bey:"the same way she found a way to call you is the same way you need to find a way to call her."

I seen Sanaa's car pull up in the driveway.They sat there for a minute until both doors opened drivers and passengers side.

Bey:"hey was anyone else supposed to be coming with us dress shopping?"

Jay:"yea one of her friends."

Bey:"Is it a guy or girl?"

Jay:"I don't know I don't keep up with her like that I barely even love her."

Bey:"then why the hell you marrying her?"

Jay:"you wouldn't understand I'm being forced to do this."

Just as he finished his sentence the doorbell rang.

Bey:"Jay I got to go!"

I hung the phone up and went to open the door.

Bey:"what the hell your friends with her too I can't have shit to myself."
