chapter 19

Me and jewel were still cuddled up when there was a knock at the door.I let go of jewel and went downstairs to get the door.When I got there I saw Jay standing outside my door in the pouring rain.

Bey:"Shawn what are you doing here?"

Jay:"I'm about to get married to a women that I don't love and the one that I do love won't love me back."

Bey:"Shawn your a little to late for that Sanaa is looking forward to this wedding."

Jay:"but don't you miss us? Don't you miss our late nights binge watching tv going out for late nights snacks don't you miss me you and jewel being a family?"

He was right I did miss all those things.

Jay:"cause I know for damn sure that I miss going to sleep next to you,waking up next to you,making love to you,holding you when you cry,i miss you period.I miss jewel man that little girl is so special I don't know what it is about her but her smile makes the insides of my heart melt the same way yours does."

Here he was standing at my door in the rain probably catching a cold telling me how much he missed me.

Bey:"Shawn you are getting married in a couple days how many to be exact 2 days why?because ole girl wanted to tie you down quick before I could make you fall in love with me again."

Jay:"bey I pro...(gco)"

Bey:"shut up I'm not done but truth is you never fell out of love with me you never stopped caring about me and as much as I don't want to admit it I never stop thinking about you I never stopped caring and neither did jewel."

Jay:"please bey don't make me stay out here in the rain can I come in?"

I opened the door and let him in I took his wet jacket and put it in the dryer.we went to sit on the couch and I kicked off the conversation.

Bey:"Jay why did you cheat on me."

Jay:"because I was insecure I felt like a girl like you was too good to be true that eventually you were going to leave me and find someone better looking than me or something and I don't want that to happen so I wanted to be prepared in case it did so I went and found Sanaa but I wasn't looking for it to get to this point."

Bey:"so you were scared I was going to stop loving you?"

Jay:"yes?"

Bey:"I never would have stopped loving you I never would have hurt you because I loved the hell out of you and I though you felt the same way."

Jay:"I do."

Bey:"then instead of cheating on me why didn't you come talk to me and tell what you were feeling?"

Jay:"i don't know I felt like you wouldn't listen to me?"

Bey:"well stop assuming things and talk to me I'm here to listen."

Jay:"ok bey bey."

I got up from the couch and wakes over to him and sat in his lap as he stared me in the eyes.

Jay:"bey I don't know if that's a good idea being that you don't love me."

Bey:"that's your problem you don't talk when I need you to but when I want you to shut up you don't."

Jay:"sorry."

I leaned down and kissed his lips over and over again until he touched my lower back.

Bey:"you don't get to touch."

I smacked his hand away and continued kissing him.

Bey:"now don't forget about me when you get married."

Jay:"bey please I don't want to marry her and if I tell her she will kill me literally help me!"

He was begging me to help him even though I was already going to help him he didn't need to know that.

Bey:"bye shawn."

I pushed him out the front door and went upstairs to get ready for bed this is going to end too well for Sanaa.

2 days later

Well today's the day Shawn and Sanaa's wedding and we weren't to far from getting the show started.Everything was running accordingly jewel was smiling like I told her and I was pretending to be happy for them.I was feeling miserable inside as I watched Sanaa and Jay get "married" my best friend and the love of my life this isn't how it's supposed to be I have to carry out my plan.The pastor began to speak again but I ignored what he was saying until he was ready to unite them as one.

Pastor:"Shawn Corey carter do you take Sanaa McCoy Lathan to be you lawfully wedded wife?"

Shawn:"I do."

I could hear the pain in his voice.

Pastor:"Sanaa McCoy Lathan do you take Shawn Corey Carter as your lawfully wedded husband?"

Sanaa:"I do."

Pastor:"before I untie thee with rings are there any objections speak now or forever hold your peace."

I looked over at jewel and remembered what she told me I looked over at Jay and seen the desperation for anyone to speak up.I looked back at jewel then back at Jay.

Bey:"I DO!"

I heard all gasps coming from the crowd and then the small chatter but I didn't care this is what I had been planing on doing since I first heard they were getting married.

Sanaa:"beyonce what are you doing?"

I ignored her question and looked Jay dead in his eyes.

Pastor:"may I ask why you don't want these two to get married?"

Bey:"because I'm in love with Shawn Corey Carter."

By now the whole church was in an uproar and I looked down and saw jewel smiling from ear to ear.I looked back up at Jay and he came a kissed me.

Jay:"I love you too Beyoncé Giselle knowels."
