Chase's POV:
I can't but help smile when they announce Jody's name. It's great that she got the lead and people are finally seeing the real her, the Jody everyone loves...expect Sam. I'm glad I dumped her. I can't handle her anymore.
As I sit in Science class, the only class I have with Jody. I can feel Sam's eyes on me. The terrible thing is I have to sit next to her now. *Cue sigh*.
The classroom door swings open and we all turn and face to see who it is. I was surprised to see her, Drama Girl...I mean Jody in the doorway. I could have sworn I saw her just a few moments ago, I guess I was wrong.
"Miss Taylor I'm glad to see you could join us." The teacher says
Jody hands the teacher her hallpass and makes her way to her seat.
"How embarrassing!" Sam whispers to me and I don't reply
My eyes follow Jody go her desk until she sits down.
"Mr Collins!" I jump in my seat and Sam looks at me like I grew a third arm.
"Yes." I say looking towards the teacher at the front of the room and she taps the board with her pointer.
"Uhhh..."
"The answer false." Someone blurts out and I look over to see its Jody.
"Thank you Miss Taylor, at least someone is paying attention." The teacher glares at me
I look next to me to see Sam's jaw is down to the floor. As I look at her I feel a smirk make its way onto my face.
Don't mess with Drama Girl!
We sit through class until the teacher finally tells us to start working with our lab partners on a lab...great! Fun times with Sam.
"Lets get this lab done." Sam says getting up from her seat to grab the supplies.
Once again I let out a sigh.
"Good luck with her." Jody says as she passes my desk to get supplies for her and her partner.
"Let's hope I can live through this class." I say to her and she laughs.
"What?" Sam asks out of nowhere and I jump.
"Someone found a new hobby, creeping up on people." I say taking deep breaths
"Excuse me." She says with a little bit of sass
"Whatever...let's just get this lab started." I say setting all the supplies out and looking at the instructions to see what we do first.
But instead of looking at the instructions Sam starts working on the lab.
"Woah...woah...woah." I say
"What?" She growls
"We need to look at the instructions."
"No we don't." She says pouring a liquid into the test tube and it starts to fuzz and bubble.
'Well she screwed that up.' A voice says in my head.
Then comes the part where everything blows up in our faces. The experiment explodes going everywhere around the room. As soon as it happens all eyes looks in the direction of Sam and I.
"Mr Collins, what happened?" The teacher asks shocked
"Sam didn't follow the instructions."
"Because I knew what I was doing." Sam snaps
"Well it looks like you didn't." The teacher snaps back at Sam and I can feel my eyes widen.
I've never heard or seen a teacher snap at a student...ever until now. But Sam deserved it.
Jody's POV:
I can't believe that just happened. Sam made a explosion happen in our classroom and now the teacher is snapping at her.
'It's about time this is happening.' A voice says in my head
"Sam go to the principal's office...now!" The teacher says and Sam stomps out of the room. "I'm very sorry everyone. Chase you can work with Jody and her partner."
Once she says that I can help but smile. Even with the gunk in his hair and on his face, he still looks adorable.
The rest of class in fine while everyone works on the lab and the teacher cleans up Sam's mess, nice job Sam.
Finally the bell rings and we all clean up the lab before we leave class. I grab my stuff and walk out of class.
"Well that was the worst class ever." Someone says and I jump.
I look to see who talked to me and it's Chase.
"I'm so sorry you were partners with her." I say as we walk down the hall together.
"It's ok, it wasn't your fault." He says
"I know it was that stupid teacher's fault." I say and he chuckles
"I would have never thought I wouldn't you say that." He says and I shrug
We walk the halls in silence until I get to my next class. "Well I'll see you around." I say before I walk into class.
Sam's POV:
I watch Chase and that stupid Drama Girl walk down the hall together from behind a nerd. Not my best moment.
But if I can't have him then no one can.
"Can I move now?" The nerd asks
As soon as I see Jody walk into her classroom and Chase walks down the hall. I step out of my hiding spot.
"You can go now, thanks for the help." I say before I walk off.
Bye bye Drama Girl.
*Cue evil laugh.*
Chase's POV:
The day drags on until the final bell rings and I make my way down to the boys locker room to change for basketball practice.
On my way down the hall I get tackled by someone...who's pretty big I might add. So that rules out two people, Jody...and Sam.
"Can you please get off of me?" I ask
"Not a chance bro. Not until you tell me what is going on with you and Drama Girl."
I know that voice from anywhere, I've known the person for years...Josh.
"Dude I'll tell you once I'm able to breath." I say like I'm sucking in my last breath.
"Oh dude I'm sorry." He says quickly getting off of me. "So spill the beans bro."
I get to my feet and let out a sigh. "Well I broke up with Sam..." I start.
"Yeah...I know that. But what about Drama Girl, where does she fit in?" He asks
"I asked her to help me study because I was failing Science at one time but because of her help my grade is up to a B-." I say and all he does is nod his head.
"So that's how she fits in?" He asks and I nod. "I thought it would be more than that."
"Well you thought wrong my friend." I say slapping him on the shoulder before I walk into the boys locker room.
The thing is I didn't tell him everything. I only told him part of a really long story that can't be made short, plus I rather not tell him more than I need to.
