Chapter 27

Chase's POV:

Once Josh walks out of the classroom I can still see him through the door window and I see he isn't going in the direction of the bathroom, in fact he is going the oppposite direction.

What is he up to?

I slowly get up from my desk and walk over to Miss Haul's desk.

"What do you want Mr Collins?" She asks not looking up

Yeah...she has never liked me because I drew a picture of her back in middle school when she used to teach middle schoolers and let's just say it wasn't a good picture.

"You know Miss Haul, I know we have had our differences and everything but deep down I know you have a soft spot. You knew my sister and you liked her." I added that last part so she would remember when she taught my sister

"How is she by the way?" She asks looking up at me

Wow that worked!

"She's good. She's ready for college."

"I can understand that, she was one of the best students I taught."

I could see the corners of her mouth twitching upwards tyring to smile but at the same time trying not too.

"So how may I help you?" She asks clasping her hands together and sets them down on top of the papers

"I'd like to see my Math teacher, so I could have help working this problem." I say showing her the problem

"Ok go right ahead."

With that I walk to the door seeing the surprised faces of my classmates and I just smirk, connections.

As soon as I'm out of sight of the classroom windows I stuff my Math packet into my back pocket and head out to find Josh.

Jody's POV:

Five words come out of my teachers mouth and those words are 'I'll put you into groups'.

I know what you're thinking, working in groups isn't that bad, if you have the people i have in my group, it is that bad!

"So are you dating Chase Collins?" Tammy asks

God not this again!

"I would want a piece of him." Jessica says

"So...are we going to work on the project?" I ask

"OH MY GOSH! THERE HE IS!!" Tammy says not even listening to what I said before her

I snap my head around and look at the door to see a glimpse of Chase walking by.

"Isn't he supposed to be in class?" I question myself while Tammy and Jessica swoon over him

I told you it's not fun for me!

The rest of class I actually work on the project while they talk about Chase Collins, Sports Boy.

'Is this what it is like for nerds when they have jocks in their groups?' I think as I write on the posterboard we are using

Josh's POV:

I walk the halls and as I do I hear footsteps behind me.

I turn my head to see its Chase.

"Hey man! What are you doing?" I say

"Dude you told me you were going to the 'bathroom' and the bathroom is the other way." He says

"I got lost?" I say more as a question than a statement
