Jody's POV:

School was finally over and now it's time for me to make my way to the bus. I hate taking the bus but at the same time I don't mind because I can listen to listen and do homework to pass the time until I get to my stop.

But on my way to the bus doors I see Sports Boy...Chase walking with his friend talking about me?

"Why would they be talking about me?" I mutter and try to sneak a little closer to hear what they are saying.

Yeah I know what you are probably thinking stop sneaking on a private conversation, but it's about me so I think it's ok too...you know?

"So what's up with you and Drama Girl?" Chase's friend asks

Is he going to say what I think he's going to say? I look towards Chase and he takes a breath before he answers and it's not the answer I had hoped for.

"We are just friends."

But the look on his face says it all, he's hurt by saying that...but why? They continue walking down the hall while I'm left standing behind a trashcan. I finally snap out of whatever it was that pulled me away in the first place and quickly run to my bus right before the doors close.

"Made it just in time." My bus driver says with a chuckle as I walk down the aisle to find a place to sit.

Someone sticks out their leg and almost trips me but I recover my balance before I fall flat on my face. That's never happened to me before.

"Go to where you belong...Drama Girl." The boy who tried to trip me says

I don't know what he means by that but I just ignore him and find a seat towards the back of the bus and sit down. I pull out my headphones and my homework and get to work while the bus sets into motion and drives out of the parking lot.

Sam's POV:

As soon as I see Drama Girl get on the bus and it pulls out of the parking lot and I follow behind the bus slowly.

Ok yeah your probably thinking, I'm this weird stalker person but the truth is I want to figure out why Chase likes this girl so much.

I follow the bus out of the school parking lot and out onto the main road. I still think to myself why am I doing this...when I already know the reason.

The bus goes through a series of stops before it arrives at the final stop...Drama Girl's stop. I watch her hop down from the steps and I swear she looks at me but she doesn't think anything of it.

She walks down the sidewalk with her earbuds in and doesn't seem to notice as I follow slowly behind her. Man...I am a stalker.

She gets to her house and walks up the driveway to the front door and as she is about to close it I see her family, two younger brothers and her parents waiting for her.

'I can't miss this!' A voice in my head says excitedly

I put my car in park a few houses down and turn off the engine before I take my keys and lock my car and take of running towards one of the front windows of her house.

I get to the window and slowly peek to see what's going on. I can't hear anything but from what I can see, it seems like everything is good with this family. I don't happen to notice someone pull into their driveway till...

"Excuse me..." A voice says

The voice makes me jump and I turn around to face a man in his middle age standing at about 5'10 looking at me like I'm some creep.

"Do you live here?" He asks and for a second my mouth doesn't move.

"Uhh...um I'm just a friend of Jody's and I was going to ask if she wants to hang out but it seems like she has plans." It started out good but then my sass got the best of me.

He doesn't seem to notice and clears his throat.

"Well it was nice meeting you. But I should go." I say and before he even starts talking I take off running down to my car.

I don't even look back over my shoulder to see if he is giving me a weird look...I just go with it.

Chase's POV:

Basketball practice went as smoothly as it could. Some people did have some errors but that's what practice is for...right?

As soon as coach calls us over for a group huddle we know we really need to practice for our game in a few days.

"Guys." Coach says as rubs his forehead. "We have a game in a few days. Are we going to play like this during the game?"

"NO!" We all yell

"Alright Chase. Go ahead."

Sometimes I hate being the captain of the team but I do it because no one else will step up or everyone thinks I get them pumped up for the games.

"Ok guys. We all know practice today was a little shakey but we have three more practices for our game. Let me ask you. Are you READY?!"

They respond by yelling back at me, yes.

"Good. Now what are we going to at the game?"

"WIN!"

"There we go! Hands in." I say and we all put our in the middle of the huddle. "I'll let you do the honors coach."

He nods.

"One...two...three...Go Jaguars!" We all yell

"Alright guys hit the showers." Coach says and we run to the locker room and shower.

After I get out of the shower and dry off and put on my clothes I walk out of the locker and put of the school and into the parking lot towards my car. I hop in and start the engine and drive off before Josh or anyone can ask for a ride.

I feel bad but at the same time I don't because I just want to get home and work on homework.

As soon as I pull into the driveway my sister walks out of the front door yelling at someone. Well this is going to be a long day.

I slowly grab my backpack and get out of my car.

"Be careful I think something is up with mom and dad." She says as she walks past me to get into her jeep.

"Great...you probably pissed them off." I mutter as I walk through the front door. "Mom...dad...I'm home." I call

"Chase we are in the kitchen." I hear my mom call

I have this bad feeling at the bottom of stomach that something bad is going to happen. I slowly take off my shoes and walk in the direction of the kitchen. I get there and find my parents sitting at the kitchen table.

"Hey sport. How was practice?" My dad asks

"Could have been better." I say as I set my backpack down on a chair to open the fridge and get something to drink. "But we still have time to practice."

I look at them as I take a sip. Their faces seem to make me even more nervous then I was before.

"Is everything ok?" I ask setting my drink down on the counter. Their share a concerned look before my mom pats the chair telling me to sit down.
