Jody's POV:
I've always been told to follow my heart but what if it leads me in the wrong direction. Has anyone thought of that? Guess not.I wait behind the curtain for my cue to come on and say my line for my group's play for Drama class. It you haven't noticed I'm kind of a drama geek, hints the nickname Drama Girl from all the football players.
"Darling we's got to find you somethin to wear."
Well that's my cue. I've got to go.
I walk on stage wearing a long flowing green dress.
"Did someone say something to wear?" I ask putting my hands on my hips and both girls nod
"Well follow me." I say leading them off stage
The crew moves everything so it's ready for the next scene. Together I lead the two girls back on stage.
"Well here you are darlings." I say but before they can say even thank you I'm gone and that's the end of our play
Everyone from our little play walks on stage for the curtain call and everyone claps.
Ok back to what I said earlier. I'm a drama geek and I'm proud of that. I remembered the first time I stepped up on a stage and I knew I wanted to act. Ever since that day I've always been in ever single school play and have always gotten the female lead.
I quickly run to the bathroom and change out of this dress and hang it up in the drama room. Out the window I could see Chase, the quarterback of our school's football team practicing with his team mates. Ok, yes. I have a crush on him. Before I spend anymore time in the drama room I quickly run back to the stage to watch the other plays.
"So how do you think we did?" Jessie, my best friends asks me
"If you mean our grade I think we did just fine." I say
"Ok good. Because I thought I did terrible." She says
"You did fine. Plus you worked on that accent all week how could you fail. It was spot on." I say and she laughs a little
*Ding, Ding, ding.*
"Wait class I want to pass out you're grades on how you did on you're plays." Our drama teacher Mr. Uthe says
He hands me my sheet and I look at. Yes, 100%, not a surprise!
"Alright you may leave." he says.
I grab my books and walk with Jessie to our lockers.
"So do you still like "him"?" She asks.
"Shush keep you're voice down." I say and she laughs.
"You act like I said his name." She says.
"Ok I'm sorry I just don't want anyone to know. You're the only person I've told." I say.
"Yay! I feel so special." She says with a little jump and I giggle.
We get to our lockers and Chase and his teammates come waking down the hall and Jessie elbows me.
"What?" I ask and she points at Chase.
His blond hair looks like it's shining in the light and his blue eyes make me melt. Ok so it's not what you thought. Well yes, it's not a little crush, it's a pretty big crush and I think it's been building since well I moved here. So since 6th grade.
"Ahhhhhhh." I say leaning against my locker.
"Wow way to play it cool." Jessie says and I snap out of it and I can feel my face get warm.
"Let's just head to class." I say keeping my head down and she nods.
I close my locker door and together we walk to class.
