Chapter 18

Chase's POV:

I sat in her driveway smiling to myself till I decided I should go home. I take the quicker way to find my sister's car in the driveway instead of in the garage.

Hmmmm.

I walk into my house through the front door to hear my sister's voice along with my parents fighting over something.

'Oh great just what I need.'

"You shouldn't bring you're brother down." My mom says

"You are lucky enough he knows better than to fight back or else he would of. I know my son." My dad says sternly

'Yes! My sister is getting yelled at for earlier. Yes! Yes! Yes!'

I pump my fist into the air and quietly make my way to my room so no one hears me.

Jody's POV:

I couldn't believe out of all the boys in my school Chase Collins was the one to kiss me!

I walk into my kitchen and none of my family is here.

"Well I'm just going to go upstairs." I say to myself

I walk up to my room and my phone goes off in my pocket.

Chase <3: hey! Maybe we should hang out again this weekend?? There's a party at my house tom and u r invited! :)

Me: alright I will be there.

Chase <3: I'll text u everything u need to know

Me: alright :)

Chase <3: so did u like the kiss ;)

That message took me by surprise. My heart almost jumped from my chest onto the floor.

Me: yes I did ;)

A few minutes pass and he doesn't text back so I take a shower and once I'm done I check my phone to see a text from Chase and Jessie.

I quickly change into my pjs and hop into my bed and look at my texts.

Jessie: so how did ur study date go?!?! ;)

Her text brings a smile to my face. Should I tell her about the kiss or not? I think it would be better if I told her no instead of at school she can't blurt it out to the whole school.

Me: it was great :)

Jessie: what happened?? Spill the beans gurl! :)

Me: ok ok Chase kissed me! >.< :D

I squeal when I text her that. It took me by surprise when he kissed me but he can kiss, like no joke. It's like he is an angel.

Jessie: shut up! No way really!! :O

Me: Yup he kissed me :)

Jessie: Omg!! u need 2 tell me everything tom @ starbucks

Me: or @ Chase's place? he is having a party tom

Jessie: tots u can tell me then! gtg bye gurl ttyl!!

I finish texting Jessie then go to my messages with Chase and I look at his message I missed.

Chase: so r u in 4 my place tom 4 the party?

Me: I'd <3 2 :)

Chase: gr8 c u tom at 8 ;)

Me: alright bye :)

I lie in my bed looking up at the ceiling listening to my parents talking about going away for the weekend just the two of them, prefect!

Then sleep comes to me and my eyes start to feel heavy and in minutes they close.

Chase's POV:

I wake and realize it's Saturday and I have a party tonight. Then my phone goes off on my nightstand.

Josh: dude did u invite any hot chicks??

Me: yup I did ;)

Josh: yes!!

I roll my eyes when I get that text. He always wants to go out with girls and see if they are hot or not and most of the time they are not.

Me: just promise u won't get drunk

Josh: I swear

Me: ok

I get up off my bed and walk over to my bathroom and wash my face with water. The cold water wakes me right.

"Cold, cold, cold." I say wiping my face off with a towel

I throw on sports shorts and my "Just Do It" tshirt and walk downstairs for breakfast. But I find my sister leaning over the counter with her face in her book.

"What are you doing here?" She asks annoyed

"Uh I live here and it's breakfast time." I say like that was a stupid question which it was

"Don't remind me." She says turning back to her book

*Cough nerd cough*

I walk over to the fridge and grab some cheese, bread and turkey and make a sandwich and make my way back upstairs with my sandwich. I look at my nightstand to see someone texted me. It's Jody.

Jody: hey :) do u need any help 4 the party 2night?

Me: yeah that would gr8

Jody: ok

Me: I'll pick u up

Jody: ok c u soon :)

Me: bye ;)

I quickly eat my sanwich and pull on my shoes grab my keys and run out the door before my sister can say one word I'm out the door and already in my car.

I get to her house and right when I pull into her driveway she runs out her front door and hops into the car.

"So what were you thinking of getting?" She asks me and all I do is look at her

Jody's POV:

"Huh you ok there?" I ask snapping in his face

"Oh yeah sorry." He says coming back

He starts his car and we drive to the store to get party supplies.

"So we have to get all this done by 6-7 ish." I say

"Yup and everyone from our grade is coming and also a few college kids are coming too." He says not taking his eyes off the road

College kids?! Do there have to be college kids?

"Uh you ok?" He asks looking from me to the road

"Yeah it's nothing just forgot about homework but I still have time to do it." I lie

We sit in silence stopping at red lights and going on green till we get to the store.
