Chapter 2

Jody's POV:

I see Chase kiss his girlfriend, Sam and quickly turn before my heart breaks.

I know I'm going to the extreme with all this talk but you should have seen me when I found out he had a girlfriend.

You probably don't want to listen to all that because you are probably bored as it is about me talking about this.

What?

Did I hear you right?

You want to know about when I found out. Yay! :D

Hmmm how do I start? Oh! I got it!

Well it all started just like a regular day, waking up, going to school. Never mind it was a regular day, it was more of a bad day.

I wake up late, start walking to school and it starts to rain. Grrrr -_-

I get there and I'm soaked to the bone. But the good thing is there are some spare clothes in my gym locker.

Then comes the moment. In 8th grade my locker was right next to Chase's. I see him alone getting his things out of his.

"You can do this." I huff softly.

I take a deep breath and let it out and walk over to my locker.

"Hey Chase." I say turning the knob on my locker.

"Hey Jody." He says.

Right before I was about to say 'what's up' up walks Sam, yeah he has been dating her that long, I'm surprised he hasn't dumped her yet.

"Hey Chasey boo!" She says and I'm pretty sure I barfed a little in my mouth .

"Hey Sam." He says and he gives her a peck on the cheek.

"I was just wondering if you want to go to the dance this Friday with me?" She asks twirling her hair with her finger.

"Why wouldn't I go with you, you're my girlfriend?" He asks.

When he says that I could feel my courage drop by the second. I was building it up to talk to him but that was just like a rock flying through a window.

But the rest of that day seemed to go from bad to worse. Every time he was at his locker Sam was always with him and my courage kept dropping lower and lower as the day went on.

When school was finally over and Jessie asks me 'how it went with Chase?'

I just cracked.

I broke down right in front of her. I could tell she didn't know what to do about it. She tried to comfort me but that didn't help much at all.

The rest of that day was filled with nothing but tears, tears and more tears. Yup, when I cry, I really cry. :/

Yup, it's not much of a story besides me getting the courage to talk to him and it's just destroyed right away. Has that ever happened to you?

Ever since then I just tried to stay my distance from him so I wouldn't have my courage destroyed again, I know it's stupid but that's me, that's what I do.

Anyway back to the present. I sit in class listening to the teacher drown us in facts about Science.

I could tell everyone was getting bored. I mean come on, have you ever had a teacher who is as dull as a brick because I've had my share of a lot of them. I mean she is so boring she puts me to sleep.

She drowns on and on so I decide to turn to a random page in my notebook and start to draw.

"Jody?" She asks and I quickly turn my head

"Huh?"

Everyone is looking at me including Chase. I could even hear a snicker from Sam's table.

"What is the formula for momentum?" She asks

"Oh it's Fw=m•a." I say and she nods smiling.

I could tell that was the answer because whenever we get the answer right she always nods and smiles. But it's not a sweet smile, her smile is a more creepy smile.

I look back at Sam's table to see her jaw dropped and I smirk. It you can't tell I've never really liked Sam. She's one of those popular girls. :{

Yup I said it, but it's true. But no one knows I don't like her but Jessie and a few of my other drama friends. Other than that no one knows. Well you guys do but I don't know, whatever.

Finally what seemed like forever and I really mean forever. The bell rings and I grab my stuff and walk out of Science.
