Jody's POV:
Well they did it, they won and are going to the state championship. I'm really not that into football but when Chase plays something inside of makes me want to watch.I slowly walk down the hall to my locker. I get there and about to open it when I hear feet stomping across the floor. I turn and see Sam stomping her way over to me.
"You! You did this! If you never talked to Chase this wouldn't have happened." She screams at me.
"Wait what did I do?" I ask confused.
I have no idea what happened other than when she kissed Chase before the game started it looked like Chase wasn't feeling it anymore.
"You know exactly what you did." She growls getting closer to me.
"I seriously have no idea what you're talking about." I say holding up my hands like I surrender.
"Sam leave her alone. She did nothing." I hear a voice say over Sam's shoulder.
I move to the side to see it's Chase. Sam takes a few steps away from me then turns to Chase.
"I'm so sorry baby I don't know what I was thinking." She says walking towards him with her arms out.
"Sam stop!" He snaps pushing her arms away. "I'm done with being you're boyfriend. Find someone else to play with." He says.
I couldn't see Sam's face when he said that but I had a feeling it wasn't a happy face.
Before I know it she takes off running down the hall with her head in her hands.
"Hey I'm sorry about her." Chase says walking towards me.
I could feel my cheeks getting a little warm and my heart start to beat a little faster.
"It's fine." I say opening my locker.
He leans against the locker next to mine and looks up at the ceiling.
"I'm glad I finally did it. I've been meaning to do that forever." He says.
"Then why didn't you?"
"I don't know. It didn't seem right at the time. She was telling all her friends how happy she was and I didn't want to break her." He says looking at me.
His blue eyes looking right into my hazel ones.
"I'm sorry you had to put up with her all these years." I say.
"It's fine. I'm just glad it's over."
"Just asking why did you even start dating her?"
"Uh well I did sort of have a crush on her and I asked her out, she said yes and a year and a half later that crush just died so I decided not to dump her till later into high school since we were only freshman at the time." He says letting out a deep sigh. "I wish I can go back to the day when I asked her out and stop myself from doing that. You know?"
"Yeah I know what you mean. I remember I dated Hunter last year and he said there's no spark and I tried to tell him there still was one but he didn't listen and just broke up with me." I say packing my back pack with my books
"Oh..my..god! You dated Hunter?" He says starting to laugh a little.
"Yeah ok let it out." I say closing my locker door.
"No I'm sorry. It's just you're you and Hunter is Hunter." He says
Hunter one of the bad boys at our school, he's tough, he uses girls, he has tattoos, he smoked I not sure if he still does but, when we were together I actually brought out the better side of him. But it soon died when we broke up.
"Yeah I know. I have no idea why I did." I say starting to walk down the hall.
"I think I know why." Chase says walking along side of me.
"You do!" I say shocked.
"Yeah, you liked Hunter." He says.
"Yeah I did." I say softly.
The truth is I did like Hunter I like Chase more. I only dated Hunter to try to get to Chase, which didn't happen and I felt stupid for doing it anyway. I don't even know why I tried it was just stupid. Dating one guy just to get another guy, that's not me and I shouldn't have done that. I guess dating Hunter brought out the bad side of me and the good side of him.
