Chase's POV:
It seemed like the rest of the day went by slowly. Then before I knew it, it's somehow 10 o'clock and I make my way upstairs to my room.

I put on sweatpants and I decide to leave my tshirt on. I hop in bed and just lay there looking at the ceiling like I'm pouring my heart out to it, which I'm not. I'm just thinking of why I kept asking Jody if she needed at ride home.

Was I just trying to be nice? It is the nice thing to do, right?

It seemed like forever till sleep finally hit me and and I'm awoken my the sound of my alarm blaring in my ears.

"Yay." I mumble. "School."

I hop in the shower and 10 minutes later I dry myself off and my put clothes on and dry my hair with a towel.

Instead of taking the stairs, like I normally do, I slide down the banister. You know try something different every once in a while. Plus it's cooler and faster than taking the stairs.

I walk into the kitchen to see my sister over the stove trying to make breakfast but if you know how well she can cook like me, it's not very good so I just take a piece of bread and stuff it into my mouth as I pull on my sneakers and grab my back pack.

"Wait what about breakfast?" My sister yells after me

"I'm fine. I need to get to school. Bye." I yell over my shoulder

I hop in my car and throw my backpack into the the passenger seat. I start the car and head to off to school.

I park in the parking lot of the school and grab my bag and start walking towards the front doors of school.

I throw open the door and walk to my locker finding Jody already there talking to her drama friends.

I unzip my backpack and open my locker and put my books in my locker.

I notice footsteps coming my way. I look over my shoulder seeing Sam. Oh great! Just what I need my ex-girlfriend is the first person I talk to.

"Hey Chase! Can I ask you something?" She says twisting her hair with her finger.

"Sure what do you want?" I ask annoyed putting my books in my locker.

"Are we still together?" She ask batting her eyelashes.

"Um let me think, no! I thought I was pretty clear with that yesterday." I say and her face turns from happy to sad.

Once again GREAT! Just what I need, a 2 year old. Yes, she acts like a 2 year old when she doesn't get what she wants and I had to deal with it couple times but not anymore.

"Why?" She asks trying really hard not to cry

"Because there was nothing there and you saw it in my face right before I ran onto that field a few days ago." I say closing my locker.

I could feel people's eyes on us but I dont' dare look up to look at them. I only look into Sam's eyes.

"It's over."

I push past her.
