Chapter 17

Jody's POV:

On our way to Chase' s house there was nothing but silence till he turned on the radio and R5's song, (I Can't) Forget About You and I start singing the words. I could see Chase smiling out of the corner of my eyes.

"What's so funny?" I ask turning to face him

"You are." He says looking at me then back at the road

I just raise an eyebrow at him and push him lightly and he chuckles.

The rest of the ride the radio blasts while I sing the words to every song I know that comes on. Then before I know it we come to a stop in his driveway and he gets out and opens the door for me.

"Why thank you kind sir." I say

"You're very welcome young maiden." He says holding his arm out to me and I take it

We walk up to the front door and before he can pull out his key the front door opens to reveal a girl about 18-19 years old with dirty blond hair and grey eyes, his sister.

"Oh hey sis." Chase says

"Well aren't you going to introduce me to you're girlfriend." She says

"Oh woah you got it all wrong." I could feel my cheeks getting warm I hope I'm not blushing. "We are just friends."

"Oh, you sure." She says disappointed

"Yup she's sure." Chase says quickly and pushes past his sister while pulling me inside

I can hear the front door close behind us and I look over my shoulder to see his sister following us. Why would she think Chase and I are a thing? Did Chase tell her something after I left the last time?

Once we get into the living room he throws his backpack down on the couch and jumps over the couch and lands next to his backpack. I walk over and sit across from him and open up my backpack and I pull out my Science binder.

"Alright let's start." I say opening my binder

I could feel Chase's sister's eyes on us but I decide not to look up at her. I just don't understand why she would think we are a couple, unless she thinks I'm Sam. Ok yeah I'm jumping to conclusions but you never know ok.

"Uh everything ok?" Chase asks with concern in his voice

"Yeah everything is just peachy." I say but he doesn't look like he believes me

"Ok let's just start."

We start studying the basic then we get to the harder stuff and when we do Chase has he head in his hands and is saying "How can you remeber that?"

"It's simple it's just PTC, Percent, Temperature, Color." I say

"He can't do it can't you see." His sister says form the kitchen

What the crap is wrong with her? First she is nice and thinks we are dating but we are not then she goes and turns upside-down and she is saying her own brother can't do some simple Science.

"What is wrong with you?" I say with my voice raising but right after I say that I cover my mouth

Both her and Chase looked at me in surprise then it turns to anger on her face.

"What did you say?" She growls walkling towards

"Rebecca stop it." Chase says getting up and standing in front of me to guard me from his sister

"You are standing up for her." She points at me like lightning is going to come out of her finger and shock me

"Yeah, yeah I am. She believes in me unlike some people." He counters
