Chapter 21

Chase's POV:

The party finally came to a close and everyone left and it was just me and Jody.

"So what do you want to do?" I ask

"How about watch a movie?" She says

"Sure pick away." I say stepping aside to show her all the movies my family has

She walks over to the movie shelf and looks through what we have. We have movie that date back to when I was a kid like Lilo and Stitch and we also have some movie like Mean Girls and Clueless and some home movies but I lock them away so no one will see them.

"Here how this one?" She asks pulling 21 Jump Street out

I could feel myself already chuckling.

"Yeah that movie is awesome!" I say

"I know right! I laugh every time I watch it!" She says

We put the disk in and I get drinks and the popcorn and we sit down together on the couch.

Jody's POV:

The movie starts some parts we a quiet other parts we are laughing our heads off.

"God this movie is so funny!!" I say laughing

"I know." Chase says with tears in his eyes from laughing so hard

The movie continues and we crack up every time it's funny. Then it ends with the last line saying that they are going to college.

I look at my phone to see what time it is and when I see the time my eyes are probably the size of softballs.

"Is everything ok?" He asks

"Yeah it's just that it's 1:05 in the morning. I think it's time I go home." I say

"Yeah we should get you home." He says hopping off and holding his hand out to pull me to my feet

I smile at his hand then grab it and he pulls me to my feet. Together we walk out into the cool morning to his car waiting in the driveway.

We get to my house about 10 minutes later. He pulls his car into the driveway then puts it in park and turns to me.

Once again he kisses me and I can't help but smile as I'm kissing him. His lips so soft against mine while holds my chin up. I hope the doesn't end.

A light shines through the window and we break away and shield our eyes from the light. I guess I said it to soon.

The light makes it's way over to Chase's window and he rolls it down.

"How may I help you sir?" Chase asks

"Yeah you can help me by stop kissing my daughter and remember to return her home on time." I know that voice, my dad

I throw my head back against the seat and growl.

This couldn't get any worse.

"Well that's all and I will see you in the house in a few minutes." My dad says before he leaves

We both watch him walk front the door then close it.

I turn to Chase.

"I'm so sorry about this. I shouldn't have gone. This is my fault ok." I keep rambling on but once again he cuts me off by putting a finger to my mouth

"Don't worry about it ok." He says and I nod

I quickly give him a peck on the cheek before I run to the front door.

I walk slowly to the kitchen to find my dad sitting at the island waiting for me.

I sit down next to him and he smiles.

"What?" I ask confused

"You surely do like that boy don't you." He says and I nod

Chase's POV:

I sit in the driveway for a few minutes hoping she isn't going to get into any trouble because of me.

Then I decide to get out and walk up to their porch.

I knock on the door and wait. Her dad answers.

"I'm sorry sir it wasn't Jody's fault it was mine. After my party I just wanted to hang out with Jody and watch a movie, nothing happened I swear." I say

Once I'm done he grabs one of my hands and pulls me into a hug and pats me on the back.

Once we pull away he says, "Don't worry about it."

Then Jody runs in and hugs me and I hug her back.

"Thank you sir." I say

"You're welcome son. I could tell she cares for you and you care for her. Well anyway I'm going to bed."

We stand alone it the front hallway of her house for a few minutes. Then we finish it off with a kiss then I walk outside and wave goodbye and she waves back. I hop in my car and drive off.
