Chapter 20

Chase's POV:

Eight o'clock rolls around and people are swarming at my door. I let everyone in and make sure they all have a drink in their hand then make sure nothing is broken...yet.

I find everything is ok until I hear someone yell from outside. I quickly runs towards the back door and throw it open to see a college kid standing on my roof ready to jump into my pool.

God! Why did I invite college kids? I know how they are when I have beer at my party but I invite them anyway.

Then a name comes to my mind, Jody. I search the whole house from top to bottom and I find her playing Spin the Bottle with some other kids in our grade in the basement.

I sigh, "Thank goodness."

I guess they heard me because they all turn and look at me.

"Hey Chase wanna play?" Tyler asks

"Uh nah I'm good." I say

"Aw come on Chase. I know you want to." Jody says wiggling her eyebrows at me

I have never seen this side to Jody, the fun laid back type of person because she is always soooo oh what's the word...serious? Yeah that's it serious.

"Alright I'll play." I say walking over to sit next to Jody

"Yeah that's the Chase I know." Tyler says high fiving me

"Alright whose turn is it to spin the bottle?" I ask

"Your's but it better not land on me." Tyler says and I chuckle

"Alright it won't."

"Good."

"Just spin the bottle already." Jody says

I spin the bottle.

Jody's POV:

We all watch the bottle spin around and around. It slowly starts to slow down till it finally comes to a spot pointing at Tyler.

I cup a hand over my mouth to hold back my laugh. But it's just to funny.

"I thought you said it wouldn't land on me." Tyler says

But his personality changes in a snap.

"Come here man. Let me give you a kiss." Tyler says but Chase holds him back with one hand and spins the bottle with the other

Once again we watch the bottle go around and around till it slowly comes to a spot in front of Tyler once again.

"Ok this bottle is out to get me." Tyler says

"Alright just give me a high five then." Chase says

These are the things I like about Chase. He is fun, laid back, puts up with a person like me, also he is kind.

They high five then Tyler spins and I thought it was going to land on Chase like it did for Tyler but...no. It landed Cassie.

Their lips crashed and they pull away a few minutes later. Tyler with a smirk on his face...Cassie not so much.

'He went tongue.' Cassie mouthed

Oh gross! >.< I would hate to have somone else's tongue in my mouth.

Cassie spins the bottle and it lands on Joe, they crashed lips and then Joe spins the bottle and it lands on me!

I gulp then lean in for the kiss. His hand lightly touches the back of my neck to slowly brings me in closer until our lips touch and we pull away a few minutes later.

"Not bad for a Drama Geek." He says

"Not so bad yourself." I say back

My turn! I spin the bottle and it seems like forever until it lands on Chase. I turn to him and he smiles and so do I.

He hand slips under my chin and kisses me just like the first time in his car.

Chase's POV:

I don't know how to describe it but it's like every time I kiss her it's the first time and there's nothing to say but it's...just magical.

I slowly pull away and look into her eyes. The most beautiful hazel eyes I've ever seen.

"Can we continue?" Tyler asks

"You guys can. I'll be right back. I'm going to get a drink." I say standing up and Jody follows me

I walk upstairs and walk straight into the kitchen ignoring some guy hanging from the ceiling fan.

"Do you want something to drink?" I ask her

"No but you sound tired." She says concerned

"I'm fine. But you don't need to worry about me." I say running a hand through my hair as I look for a drink

But the words she says takes me by surprise. They even make me turn and look her straight in the eyes to say if she is joking and...she isn't.

"Maybe I want to." She says a bit softer the second time and I can't help but smile

Sometimes she can be pitiful and it's just cute.

"Are you sure you want to?" I ask teasing her a little

"Yes." She says

"Are you sure you're sure?"

"Yes I'm sure."

"Ok that's enough for me." I say

"Well I'm going swimming. See you later." She says smiling then she skips off

I watch her leave then continue to look for a drink.

Jody's POV:

I find the bathroom and quickly change into my swimsuit then run out to his backyard and jump right into his pool.

I see everyone is inside partying so it's just me in the pool until...

SPLASH!!!

Chase does a cannonball right into the pool splashing me.

"It's nice of you to join me. But did you need to splash me?" I say trying to keep a straight face

"Yes, yes I did." He says smiling his cocky smile and I roll my eyes

I really should be studying for my text tomorrow in Spanish but I really don't want to. :P
