Chapter 19

Chase's POV:

We finish getting stuff for the party and drive back to my house. We walk through the front door with bags in our hands. I notice my sister is gone but a note is in her place.

Chase

Today I'm spending the whole day with my friends and spending the night at Tammy's!

See you tomorrow!

Don't do anything stupid!

"Whatever." I mumble and throw the not into the trash

I know she doesn't mean love so I don't know why she puts it. She means more of 'don't do anything stupid or I'll hurt you' type stuff.

Jody's POV:

I see him throw away the note from his sister, I would if I were him. I mean his sister sucks.

"Alright so where should we set up everything?" I ask putting the bags on the counter

"Food is going to be on the island. Games going to be downstairs and we will have some baseball or football or basketball games going on, on that tv and people will even be swimming in the pool out back." He says while taking chips out of the bags

While we unpack all the food for the party he asks me something.

"I saw you tense up when I mentioned college kids. Is everything ok? Did something happen?" He asks concerned

I stand there and let out a big sigh before talking.

"Well I have a brother who was in college had a party at our house when our parents were away and invited people from his college and one was really drunk and found me downstairs just watching tv and he sits next to me and the next is kissing me and trying to take my clothes off. Thankfully my brother came and beat the crap out of him." I say looking down at my feet

"Well I promise that won't happen." He says lifting my head to look at him and I smile

Why is he so sweet? No boy would ever say that to my face. They would just let it happen. But I know my brother wouldn't let that happen.

Chase's POV:

I was surprised by her story, know wondered she didn't want to be at a party with college kids. She had a bad experience with one.

We finish setting up for the party and it's only 2 o'clock.

"Hey I want to show you something!" I say

"What do you want to show me?" She asks

"Come on we have to drive there." I say pulling her out the door

We hop in the car and take off driving down the road.

Jody's POV:

I wondered where he is taking and what he wants to show me but I don't fight back when he says you will see. He finally comes to a stop and hops out of the car and opens my door for me.

"Where are we?" I ask

"Make out point." He says

"What?!" I say

"No I'm just kidding. It's just a cliff I come up to once in a while to look out at the city. Come on I'll show you." He says grabbing my hand and pulls me closer to the edge

There it is the city right below us, beautiful and quiet like it always is at this time of the day.

"How did you find this?" I ask in awe

"I was walking through here and found this and ever since I would come up here and let my troubles go by looking out at the city." he says

What troubles could he have? He's the most popular guy in school, ohhhhhh Sam and maybe some grades and his sister.

"Thank you for showing me you're lookout place." I say turning to him

"You're welcome." He replies. "Well I think we should head back to my house, unless you want to stop at you're house in case you want to get something."

"Yeah, duh my swimsuit." I say punching his arm lightly like 'of course I need to go home and get my swimsuit' and he just chuckles.

We walk back to his car and hop in and he takes off driving to my house. Before I know it we come to a stop at a light brown house which is my house.

"I'll be right back." I say hopping out and he nods

In a flash I'm up the stairs and into my room grabbing my swimsuit along with another change of clothes, my makeup and stuff them into my Pink pool bag. I look at what I'm wearing and decide to change. I put on a navy blue crop top with my short shorts and put on some makeup and jewelry and my white sandles and run back downstairs and hop back into his car.

"Ready to go?" He asks

"Yup! LET'S PARTY!!!" I say and he laughs while pulling out of my driveway
