Chapter 23

Jody's POV:

So because of my brother being his stupid self, him and I had to spend the night sleeping in the unfinished part of our basement...thanks a lot bro. And let me tell you if you don't have anything to sleep on, it's going to be a long night.

Once I stretch and rub the sleep out of my eyes both my brother and I slowly walk upstairs to hear my parents talking.

"John what if that happens again? What are we going to do? We have kids you know." My mom says

"Jenny, everything is going to be ok because I got this bad boy. The Steel Hawk 5000, it well watch over the house and also keep our kids out of trouble becuase it turns into a pet Hawk." My dad says

Both my brother and I look at each other scared, we will never get away with anythig unless we get rid of of The Steel Hawk 5000.

We slowly walk back downstairs into the unfinished part before we start talking.

"What are we going to do? That thing is going to have it's eyes on us like a...hawk!" My brother, Tyler says

"Yeah I know. We need to think of a plan." I say putting on my thinking face

"Maybe we can grab The Steel Hawk 5000 when mom and dad aren't home and smash it." Tyler suggests

"That's just to...what's the word? Plain, normal, anyone would think of that." I say pacing around

"Well sorry." Tyler huffs

"Jody, Tyler! Time to get up!" Our mom yells

Both Tyler and I make eye contact before we go up the chute that goes to the bathroom all the way upstairs on the top floor

"Can you move any faster?" I gumble as we climb up the chute

"Yeah well it's hard, it's not like a 20 degree angle." He says

He right is more of a 70 degree angle. Well we finally make it up the chute and run to our rooms like we never left them.

I quickly hop in bed and pull the covers over my face as I hear footsteps climb the stairs.

Then I hear Tyler's door open from down the hall and my mom saying "It's time to get up." Before the door to my room opens and my mom says the same thing.

Chase's POV:

I wake to my mom and my sister fighting.

"Rebecca you know when Chase brings his friends over not to say anything." My mom yells

"Well it wasn't one of his dumb guy friends this time he brought home a girl." Rebecca yells back

"A girl?! Chase get down here!" My mom calls from downstairs

I pull the pillow out from under my head and groan into it before I get out of bed and slowly walk downstairs to meet my mom and sister at the end of the stairs.

"You had a girl over and didn't tell me." My mom says

"She was helping me with homework since my grades aren't so hot." I say

My mom looks from me to Rebecca then back to me.

"Ok Chase wins." My mom says before she walks off

"But mom!" Rebecca calls after her but she doesn't answer

Rebecca glares at me before stomping out towards the kitchen. What a Drama Queen!

I slowly follow after them into the kitchen to get some breakfast.

I walk over to the fridge and get the orange juice and pour a glass and put it back in the fridge.

"So what do we have to do today?" I ask taking a sip of orange juice

"More of what are you two going to do today." My mom says and I glance over at Rebecca who is texting away on her phone trying to ignore the both of us

"Like I'm going to do anything with him." She mumbles

"Rebecca!" My mom snaps and both my sister and I look at her surprised

Our mother is a person who never and I mean NEVER snaps, yells, screams, etc, at anyone. So this is new to us.

"You are going to do stuff with you're brother and you're going to like it." My mom growls at Rebecca and I can't help but smile

"I can smack that smile right off you're face." My mom says pointing at me while she is still looking at Rebecca so I quickly wipe away the smile

"Is everything ok mom?" I ask slowly approaching her

"Just a little stress at work." She says

"A little?" Rebecca says

"More like a lot." I mutter

"Ok a lot." My mom sighs. "Anyway I'm still going to need you guys to work together to clean the house."

"Alright we got it." I say walking over to my mom

"Yeah you go to work and when you get home. This house will be spotless." Rebecca says pushing our mom out of the kitchen and into the garage and into her car

I'm sorry I haven't been updating my stories like I should. It's just I been busy and school is starting soon, so yeah.
