Appearance: For the past year the only thing Monty has allowed his mother to cut has been his fringe, but even that is starting to fall into his eyes. The rest of his long, shaggy dark brown hair falls to his shoulders. His eyes are as dark as his hair and shine with the innocence of childhood. Two thick bushy eyebrows hide underneath his fringe. Freckles cover his nose and cheeks while there is almost always a smile on his pink lips. Monty is of average height for his age and has no noticeable muscles.

Personality: Monty is a typical young boy. He dreams of defeating dragons with his trusty slingshot while rescuing fair maidens from tall towers. Of course, that's all in his head yet when he closes his eyes and he sees the dragon flying around the tower it's the only time he feels truly alive. Having an over imaginative brain does also cause some issues. He imagines dangerous situations his loved ones maybe in which causes him to worry as he isn't there to protect them. For loving and caring Monty his family is the most important thing in his life. Without them, he would not be the happy, excitable child that he is today.

Monty can never sit still for long and always seems to have lots of energy. He enjoys playing with his siblings outside where they can run around and just be noisy. When he is forced to sit down he can not shut up.

Strengths: Monty has had lots of practice with his slingshot and is able to hit most targets. With all of his running around he has developed good stamina and speed.

Weaknesses: He is very innocent so at least to start with he may struggle with the sight of actual blood. On top of that Monty is not physically strong so if it came down to hand-to-hand combat he would probably lose. As he can be extremely noisy he would be easy to find. His only redeeming weakness if that he is very loyal, this means that he would make a good ally as he would find it difficult to stab anyone in the back.

Backstory: Monty lives with his parents and 4 siblings. He has 2 older brothers, 2 younger brothers. With 5 boys in the family, his parents have a handful. The family comfortably off the earnings of his parent's and eldest brother who all have a job at the same power plant. This means that Monty has never had to take tesserae. The Bean family are described be their neighbours as "an average, hard-working family who look after each other." A few years ago Monty's father won a trip to district 4 for being one of the plant's hardest workers. The week that he was away was one of the most difficult for Monty who imagined that his father would drown or meet some other horrible end. Monty is soon to become an uncle as his eldest brother is expecting another boy with his wife.
