Task Three: The Fallen

26. District 13 Male: Nick Eckhart

Burdened with his lack of hearing, the boy from 13 couldn't quite figure out when the Games were about to begin. Taking another tribute's false step forward as a sign that it was time to go, Nick jumped off his pedestal into the snow, realizing his mistake a fraction of a second later as the tribute appeared to simply be adjusting their stance. An explosion promptly followed; the boy's blood and guts splattered across the surrounding tributes, leading to quite the mess. No family mourned for him, and the death was only laughed at in the Capital, leaving to Nick's end being undignified.

25. District 10 Female: Arura Bay Akpofure

Expected to be a strong contender with her photographic memory and physical condition, Arura Bay Akpofure met an early end. Charging into the snowy bloodbath, she was one of the first to reach the packages surrounding the lamppost. But the girl was too quick to believe she was successful- as she attempted to push through the thick snow, running away from the scene of the bloodbath, Arura didn't notice the tribute behind her fast enough. Capital viewers glanced away in disgust as the stronger tribute bashed a fist against the unlucky tribute's head, who promptly collapsed, dead following the attacker's three identical hits.

24. District 7 Male: Theo Easton

Liked by many in his district, the boy from 7 was expected to make it reasonably far in the games, yet as he found himself trying to reach one of the packages surrounded the lamppost, the snow provided an obstacle increasingly difficult for Theo to counter. Lighter tributes scampered on top of the snow rather easily, and the boy could do just about nothing as they reached the packages first, pulling out weapons of all sorts; torn between retreat and continuing forward, his moment of hesitation was just a moment too long, and a knife sunk into Theo Easton's forehead- his immediate demise.

23. District 11 Female: Regan Twiyl

The blind girl from an outer district was not expected to make it far, her weaknesses just too many in the long run. Unable to see the twin stags carrying the White Witch's chariot as they barrelled toward her, hooves silent in the snow, Regan was left clueless in the middle of the path. Finding some tiny shred of mercy in her ice cold heart, the White Witch transformed the girl from District 11 to stone mere seconds before the sleigh plowed into her. After all, stone was much better on the rudders than blood- what a pain it would've been had it stained!

22. District 9 Male: Giles Mazer

Having survived the bloodbath, Giles Mazer darted off into the woods, where he soon encountered the mysterious White Witch. Luring him into her carriage with the enticing promise of granting him what he wanted most, Giles heard her proposition to bring his mother back to life. Finding himself unable to pass up such an amazing opportunity, the boy from 9 ignored the danger his mind warned him of, instead agreeing to head back to the White Witch's castle. Upon arrival, Giles was promptly led into a room filled with statues and turned to stone, an expression of shock forever etched on his face.

21. District 3 Male: Conn Sephra

A boy who caught the attention of both the Head Gamemakers and performed exceptionally well in his training session was a death both unanticipated and deeply mourned. Despite being especially hindered by the dislikeable climate of winter Narnia, Conn Sephra managed to make it all the way to the door of the wardrobe before being caught by another tribute, headed for the same destination. Having thought avoiding the bloodbath was the better choice, he was unarmed, while his adversary had managed to snatch a weapon. Darting into the coats, the boy ran for his life, but wasn't quick enough for the long-range weapon.

20. District 8 Male: Syne Nighes

After escaping the bloodbath, Syne and his ally, Rii, encountered Mr. Tumnus as they wandered through the forests of Narnia. Despite their initial doubts in the faun's trustworthiness, the pair from District 8 made their way back to Mr. Tumnus's house, where they sat comfortably and enjoyed hot tea with the odd creature. Syne was content- that was, until he found the cold blade slitting his throat. Blood bubbling from his throat, his ally screaming, the mute boy tried to raise his hand one last time to sign to Rii, but slipped into the realm of death too quickly to decipher the message.

19. District 8 Female: Rii

Overcome with loss for her beloved ally and best friend, the girl from District 8 aimlessly travelled through the snow. Slowly losing her will to live without the boy who had stood by her all those years, Rii eventually collapsed, a blanket of coldness surrounding her. Unable to go on without her ally, she didn't rise, even as symptoms of hypothermia began to consume her. Twin tears slipped down her cheeks, freezing in the process- one for Syne, one for Rii as the cold slowly took her life. Kyra Sapphire's cries were heard all throughout the Capital as her beloved sponsored tribute perished.
