Name: Kanai Lathan
District: 4
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Weapon: Trident
Appearance: Kanai is a typical guy from District Four as far as looks go. He has short blonde hair that falls into his eyes occasionally, and always looks like he's just run his fingers through it. He's tall, reaching six feet exactly, with a lean, muscular build. Kanai's most prominent feature is his eyes, dark green and piercing.
Personality: Kanai is smart and quick-witted, always up to ssomething. He's quite the chatterbox if he decides he likes you, and he's quick to try and defuse tense situations with a joke. His peers quickly labeled him as the 'class clown' when he was young, something Kanai never tried to dissuade them of. However, all of his jokes and loud words are a well-constructed facade to hide his insecurities and his fear of being forgotten.
Strengths: Kanai is an excellent swimmer and fisherman, able to identify any type of aquatic life or food. He's strong and a quick runner, and can think under pressure.
Weaknesses: Outside of the water, Kanai is far less coordinated, often tripping over air or stumbling over obvious obstacles. He tends to get caught up in himself, sometimes daydreaming. He also has a tendency to come across as self-centered or stupid because he doesn't know when to stop talking or making jokes; for him, it's a habit.
Backstory: Kanai comes from a large family consisting of his parents, three sisters, and two older brothers. Both of his parents worked all day at sea to make enough money to take care of their kids. As a result, Kanai's entire family is well off, although his oldest brother Kaleb is more of a surrogate parent than brother. Keyon loves all of his siblings, but spends the most time with his twin Kadie. She's his closest sibling, and the one he confides everything in. Kanai and Kadie are fiercely competitive with each other in everything, but are always the first to congratulate the other on their success.
Token: A leather necklace braided by Kadie.
