The quiet girl always lost in her own world was the first of the tributes to fall. Dreaming of a place she'd rather have been as she entered her training, the girl accidentally took the wrong path and found herself face to face with the paper figure that would challenge her physically instead of mentally. To everyone's horror, the figure suddenly malfunctioned, causing its weapon to strike the unfortunate tribute not only in a simulated way. With imagination as her weapon, Avalynn was no match for the sharp blade, and had already been killed by the time Peacekeepers were able to step in.

27. District 10 Male: Roy Scofield
The promising boy the Gamemakers both saw potential in was the second casualty before the Games began. Unfortunately, his lack of empathy and interesting voice caught the eye of a deranged killer after just after his interview. He was found dead by the District 10 escort in his room with an astounding total of thirty-two stab wounds scattered across his body. The most nightmarish wound- the kitchen knife still left embedded in his forehead after the attack. The entire country of Panem was highly intrigued by the murder of one of the early favorites, and continues to question the identity of the killer.
