Name: Roy Scofield
District: Ten
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Male
Weapon: None, Roy considers his intelligence his only necessary weapon, but he can decently handle any defensive tool thrown his way.
Appearance: Roy is moderately tall, bypassing the six-foot mark by at least an inch. He's heavily muscled from working on his parents' farm, whose main livestock is cattle. Roy has a round face, and he has dark brown hair that is shaved very close to his skull. Thick dark eyebrows arch just slightly above his mesmerizing, ice blue eyes that seem to pierce into your own if you are to lock gazes. Most would call him 'pretty' which he doesn't appreciate, but still he doesn't protest towards the name.
Personality: Due to losing his brother when he was just ten years old, Roy is what you could describe as a loner. He's quiet, whenever he says anything, anything at all, he doesn't speak much of anything. Roy likes to observe from a distance, listen in, learn from what other people have to say. Roy is very educated, he was a good student, and learned quite a lot from his brother before he was gone. His brains are not one typical of a District Ten citizen, and he is proud of his intelligence. Roy has the mind of an engineer, quick to survey all the little details and find a solution to whatever problem faces him.
Strengths: Roy is incredibly intellectual, his knowledge almost knows no bounds. He's also resourceful, which may come in handy, one would assume. Plus he doesn't experience much empathy, so he won't hesitate to leave someone in a crisis if the situation desperately calls for him to do so. His favorite pastime of reading will aid him considerably in the arena.
Weaknesses: Roy can sometimes overestimate his own brain's abilities, which is not a good quality to possess. He can also be too skeptical of other people, trust doesn't come too easily for him. Another weakness is that he can tend to rely too much on his own intellect, and may resort to using that instead of weapons in a given situation. One final flaw is his deep connection to his past...it affects him greatly. So much that he sometimes hears his brother's voice in his head, somehow always driving him in the wrong direction.
Backstory: To the outside world, Roy has the typical background of a District Ten resident, a simple, honest livestock farmer with nothing special to give. But this is not true. He's never been involved in a relationship, which means he doesn't quite know what love really is. His older brother, Leonard, does. After a serious separation with his mentally-ill girlfriend eight years before, he was suddenly accused of murdering an innocent Peacekeeper. When he denied these claims, he was still found guilty and sentenced to a life in prison. These circumstances have shaped who Roy is, and that is broken and lost. His parents kicked him out the day after he turned eighteen, and the brother he knew when he was a kid is gone, locked inside of District Ten's prison walls. He never really had a family after Leonard was gone.
Token: A small stopwatch, which he carries only to take it apart and put it back together. He does this mainly when he's stressed or panicked.
Other: Although Roy won't much consider an alliance, he will appreciate one eventually.
