Weapon: Hand to hand combat. Giles spends most of his free time training behind his house, he has become very skilled in fighting.

Appearance: Giles takes pride in his appearance, and styles his hair carefully each morning. It's an art, he will say. It's not that he's self conscious or over obsessed, he just doesn't want to look scruffy. If he looks scruffy, he's just another grain worker - he likes to make an effort. His eyes are dark brown, quite large in proportion to the rest of his face, a trait he takes from his mother. Physically, he is strong with an average build, he spends a lot of his time training himself on his own.

Personality: He likes to think of himself as very independent. At times when he is not training, he will seclude himself in his bedroom studying animals and geography. Some people might call him a nerd, but he just enjoys learning. Learning is very important to him, because he doesn't want to turn out like his uneducated father and work in a grain factory for the rest of his life. Giles is quite laid back when he can be, and serious when he needs to be.

Strengths: Giles has a keen sense of hearing and taste. He can hear very high frequencies and detect sounds from much further away than the average person. This will help him immensely in the games, it is hard to sneak up on him. He is also strong and a good fighter. His interest in animals has increased his hunting knowledge a lot, so he is good at setting traps and finding bait.

Weaknesses: His mother was murdered when he was twelve, and he fears that killing tributes will bring back horrific memories. He's also not very fast because he never has to be, he works in a factory all day. This meaning he isn't very well acquainted with the natural world, and isn't so good at finding shelter or surviving alone.

Backstory: The death of his mother scarred Giles, and still haunts him today. He found her shredded in a back ally, naked and blood-covered. Her killer knew no boundaries in her murder, and destroyed her using every amount of wrath he had. Giles has no idea who it was, or why, or how, all he knows is that his mother is dead. Some people blame him for it. Others think it was the father. Aside from his mother's murder, Giles has had a pretty average life. He works alongside his father in a grain factory, where he sees little sunlight and doesn't ever have the chance to perfect his physical abilities. The same, repetitive action over and over again, requiring no skill or strength, Giles is unsatisfied. He has an older brother, who is a hunter, and a younger sister who makes medicines with their grandmother. Very average.

Token: A brown bracelet he's worn since he was a child. He has no idea where it came from, but his father will make a comment if he forgets to put it on.

Other: Giles trains himself so much because he knows that it is likely he will be drawn for the games. He's managed to put his name in so many times trying to get supplies for his grandmother's medicine. He will get the grain and oil, and then trade it for medicine supplies. Somehow, it's always Giles that pulls the short straw and has to get the tessera under his name.
