Birthday song(Soraru X Reader)

Meh. That's the kind of a person you are. You dislike social life,dislike loud noises and annoying people and of course, you dislike sunlight,but you do love going out at night, the night sky,stars and animals! You even own 3 cats! 

You really are the I-hate-human-interactions-because-they-are-worthless kind of person, but one thing you do like about those humans is music. You love music, you love singing and the voices of people who sing. Singing has been a passion for you since young and to be honest, you are a great singer, just not one that likes the spotlight in your face 24/7 kind.

You have mini stages at night,under the stars, with a guitar and sometimes a piano, you perform at night events all the time, with great musical talent and melodious singing voice, you have succeeded in the music industry, just that you have night shows and online events mostly.

Of course for anyone in this time and age, you have your very own youtube and NND channel where you often upload your own music and covers. You found many amazing singers on NND and your favourite was Soraru. His voice is just so smooth, so soothing that it lulls you to sleep, and of course, you secretly ship him with MafuMafu.

"Hm... maybe i should try 'Last night Good night' today" you thought to yourself as you began research for chords and keys. "Ping Bong!" Your email went off. "Huh? Who would even email me at this hour?" You thought as you opened up the message:

"Good day miss(NND NAME), I'm Soraru, I apologise if this is sudden,
I would like to request to do a duet with you. I came across your cover of Pierrot 
and would really want to  collab with such a voice as yours.
Reply me soon.

-Soraru"

Being sleep deprived,because you were practising the song all day, you replied quickly because your brain is telling you to just doze off already, yes, your brain is angry at you as it needs sleep and you are refusing because replying is more important and without looking at who the sender was, you replied with a "Sure, just add me on skype:(Skype Id)" 

Once it was sent, you turned off everything, kept your 'studio' nice and neat, walked into the shower, had an awesome shower ( =w= ), dried off your hair, and flopped onto your soft bed, dozing off into dreamland.

"Buzz Buzz" Your phone went off 'Omg it's only just morning, who on this earth is even awake at this time' you thought angrily as you picked up your phone to check the time, it was 3am in the morning and your skype had a notification, you just received a message request by someone. 

Being sleep deprived and tired, you shut it off and went back to sleep, making sure to silence your phone first.

Morning arrived sooner than expected and of course, the usual alarm woke you up from your dreams. Lucky for you, waking up is an easy task. You got outta bed, got ready for a new day, took up your phone to check on skype. "'[Soraru's skype] wants to add you as contact' [accept] [decline]'"

You were surprised, that's for sure, 'Why would Soraru send me a request? It has to be a fake' you thought to yourself.

You went back to practising when you received yet another email from the same user last night. 

"Why did you not accept my request, miss (NND NAME)?  :( -Soraru" 

You blinked a few times, checking the email, checking the user, basically stalking them to confirm it is legit, and it was. It was legit Soraru. The one singer who inspired you to sing just asked you for a collab. You were lost for words even though you were just thinking to yourself.

"I'm sorry, I was half asleep last night so I did not read your email properly >< -you"

You were somehow embarrassed at yourself but also really happy because this all seemed like a dream. You splashed ice cold water on your face and it was freezing!! You were definitely not dreaming.

You receieved another skype request from Soraru and you accepted it this time. You were excited but you were the kind that doesn't show much emotion so all these fun was happening inside. 

Soraru called you up and of course like a normal human being, you picked it up. You were fluent in japanese due to the classes you used to take and all the songs you learnt to cover.

Soraru: "Hi, (NND NAME)-san nice to meet you :)"

You: "Nice to meet you too, Soraru-san. Its alright to call me (NND NAME). I'm not fond of formalities."

Soraru: "I see, alright then, (NND NAME) which song would you like to cover?"

You: "Um... I was practising 'Last night Good night' so.. is it alright if we cover that?"

Soraru: "Sure ^^"

You both started practising, soon you had to grab food. You excused yourself for a bit to get food. Once you were done and back, Soraru was nowhere to be heard "hm..?" It didn't bother you very much anyway so you set up you recording equipment and all that while waiting for his return. 

While waiting, you practised a little more "Last night, good night~" you started not knowing the ears hearing everything from the other side of the screen. Once you finished , you hear clapping, immediately you flushed red, thank God there is only audio.

Soraru: "Great singing! I gotta go now, can we practise again tomorrow?"

You: "Thanks... And of course we can" 

You both signed off.

Days passed and both of you covered a few more songs. Soraru felt a little something when he hears your singing voice each time. 

As time passes by, he grew feelings for you despite not seeing your face. You were oblivious to that fact as you have long since turned off your feelings of affection for others,that's why you turned to animals instead. 

Skype went off again, you got an incoming call from Soraru. You picked up. Silence. 

You started hearing  guitar playing in the tune of happy birthday, "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you-u, happy birthday to you!" 

You felt something move in your chest and your vision started clouding slightly, it was the first time in a long while where someone actually remembered your birthday and actually sang you a birthday song. You were lost for words and only started sobbing softly. You have a excellent mic so every sobbing sound could be heard "(NND name)? I wanna show you something... but I would need you to turn on your video,is it alright?" You nodded even though he can't see it and turned on your camera.

His video turned on,instead of seeing him, you saw  a beautifully decorated card saying "Happy Birthday,(NND name)" he opened it and it read "Will you go out with me?"

You instantly covered your mouth with your sleeves, yes, your room was really cold so you were wearing a very nice sweater. 

You were too moved to say anything so you typed out instead "Yes"

He read it, and took the card off, revealing his face. "Happy birthday (NND name), I hope we get to  see each other soon, I really want to show you around Japan and bring you to the best meat place i know of! I dedicate this song to you." 

He started singing 'Uta ni katachi wa nai keredo (Although songs have no form)' he played his guitar.

You were enjoying and sobbing at the same time "ありがとう (arigato) (thank you)"  you said through tears. 

He smiled whilst still singing. He ended with " May we see each other soon."
