"I don't want it. Don't want it. DON'T. WANT. IT. ANYMORE." The young girl screamed, yet she was strangely silent, warfare was going on and on, tearing and ripping her fragile mind to shreds. "What have I done to deserve this? All I was trying to do was to get past each day, I'm not even trying anymore, I just want to get it over and done with. Is that so hard to ask for??"

The thoughts. Ah yes, the thoughts. It was their fault. It has always been their fault for making her feel this way, this inferiority, this trembling fear and constantly racing heart. Not knowing what will happen next, paranoid that something else will happen when she's not looking. Ah yes, it was the fault of her twisted thoughts.

There was no cure, no matter how many bottles of pills she took, no matter how many sessions of counselling she went for, it was all useless. Nothing worked.

Nothing.

She became nothing more than a shell of her former self. She didn't enjoy what she previously did anymore, she went outdoors less and less, locking herself up in that room of hers, spending hours upon hours laying in bed just staring at nothing.

All her drawings, sketches, artworks, music sheets, even her guitar, was untouched. All her pieces of countless hours of artworks splattered around her room like the mess she was.

Her friends were worried that she stopped showing up in school, stopped answering their phone calls and even denying entry to her room when they come to visit. It was dark and gloomy, yet it was bright and happy, or was it just sad and mundane? Who knows. The girl sure didn't. All she knew was nothing, blank, empty. There was nothing even though she was laying on her bed, there was nothing running through her mind like they used to. Now it was silent, surreal, as if nothing existed to begin with.

Even when her boyfriend, Luz, came to visit after not seeing her in school, she simply opened her room door, stared at him and went back to lay on her bed.

He simply walked in and sat beside her laying form. Without a single word, he sat there with her. She didn't mind, not that it mattered anyway.

"Is this how you feel right now" Luz spoke, breaking the empty silence, neither a question nor a statement, just sounds of words breaking through the silence. He felt a shift, she nodded.

He placed his warm hand on her soft hair, "Lets go out for a walk" he closed his eyes, with a faint smile on his face, reopened them, and stood up, holding a hand out for the lifeless girl. She shook her head no. He frowned slightly. "(Y/n), come on" he took hold of her arm and gently got her up. He looked through her closet and picked out an oversized pullover. "Here, put this on, its chilly outside." Her handed it to her with a faint smile, she looked at him, then the clothing, slowly she reached for it and put it on.

His smile stayed on, gentle eyes, warm smile, patient hands and soft voice. "I'll brush your hair, sit down" he instucted as he picked up her hair brush from the bedside table.

He sat on her bed, and got her tosit in his lap. Gently picking up her messy (coloured) locks and brushing them through softly, gently picking pieces away from her face and brushing them down. "Your hair is really soft and smells really nice too," he smiled as he finish off the last bits if brushing. Embracing her from behind just to get a whiff of her (fruit) scented shampoo.

"Come on, we gotta go before the sun goes down" he gently picked her up and off himself and took her small hands in his. He smiled at her and walked her to her mirror.

Standing behind her, he lifted her face to face the mirror, "look at how beautiful you are," her eyes locked with her own reflection as she saw her neatly brushed hair, warm ovrsized pullover and his warm hands on her shoulders. A faint smile began to tug at her lips while small droplets of tears formed at the rims on her eyes.

Luz's gentle hands wiped her threatening tears away, "whenever you feel down, just look into the mirror and remember that the one infront of you has the most beautiful smile."

She nodded slightly as he took her hands onc again, leading her out the door and out the house as he waved a quick goodbye to her mother who watched them with hopeful eyes, praying that Luz will bring her child back to her.

"Where are we going" she asked as they made their way outside in the chilly autumn air. "Hmm, just somewhere"he replied.

As the couple journeyed through the quiet neighborhood, Luz talked about how he as well, had fallen into a pit of hell. Where he didn't want to do anything, much like the situation she was in, "but then, my angel came to me when i was in hell, she smiled warmly at me as she picked up my hands and took me through it."

"What did she do" (Y/n) asked, as they neared their destination. Surprised that she answered, he chuckled lightly then looked up at the light grey skies, while still holding her hands, "She simply stayed by me" this made the (hair coloured) girl turn to face him, "eh?" Her voice was soft as cotton, he chuckled again as he pointed ahea of him, "look, we're here, just on time as well"

As he looked forward, so did she, there she saw the big round sun, accompanied by a beautiful array of pinks to purples to yellows and darker hues painting the canvas of the sky.

As they watched the spectacular scene play out before them, (Y/n)'s cheeks felt warm and slightly wet in contrast to the cool air. Luz noticed this, a gentle smile tugged his lips as he bent to her height in front of her, his warm hands cupped her soft cheeks as he wiped her tears away with his thumbs.

"Remember this location, this marvelous sunset?  It was almost this time if the year too wasn't it, the day you followed me here, where i was so upset with life and everything else. I still remember, your body was shivering as you hugged me close, your heeks wet with tears no matter how much you tried to smile, your slurred words as you couldn't speak through those tears which were for me." He got up, and embraced her, placing his lips at the crown of her head, then placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, "you were, and still are my angel, without you, who knows where i could be right now."

As he spoke those words, she burried her face into his chest, her sobs muffled by his warm clothes as they just stayed there till the sun completely went down, and the moon slowly peaked through the heavy clouds.

I'll always be here for you
