Pancakes (SekihanX Reader)

'That pancake looks delish! But that strawberry one looks tasty too' You were thinking real hard on which pancake to get for breakfast, you being an absolute pancake lover, obviously  could not choose between a strawberry and a banana one. 

"Why not get both?" You heard a voice coming from behind you, it belonged to a stranger....  "? Hi? Who are you...? Great idea though!" You bought the pancakes and sat down with  a smoothie (Well sorry if you no like smoothies)

"May I sit with you?" That same voice. "Sure!" You smiled(You know those closed eyes kind) at them. They politely smiled back and sat across from you. You stared at them without realising it 'woah, fluffy hair...almost like a cat's' you thought "hm?" they caught you staring >< 'OH NO ><' 

"S-sorry >< I-it's just that you look like a cat.. sorry " You apologised once more,earning a chuckle from them. "Hehe, you're cute, ah! How rude of me, I must have forgotten to introduce myself, I'm Sekihan and this is Nyaahan (赤・ω・飯) " You looked at the cat-like puppet and instantly reached out for it unknowingly.

Once you held it, you were snapped back to reality, looking at the position you're in, with you leaning over the table,grasping on to a stranger's hand puppet, you blushed from embarrassment and quickly sat back down. "S-sorry, it was just too cute,so.." You earned another chuckle from the male. 

"I-i'm (Y/n) but you can call me (nickname)! As thanks for helping me choose the pancakes, I'll give you a strawberry!" You smiled and handed him a strawberry from your plate which he gladly accepted. "Thank you, (Y/n)-chan" You both smiled, enjoying your lunch together, until, your phone rang. 

"Sorry, I gotta take this" You stood up,and answered your phone "OI! WHERE ARE YOU? WE NEED YOU HERE ASSAP! IT'S AN EMERGENCY CASE! THE PATIENT'S SINKING INTO SHOCK!" The other side of the line literally was shouting, "I'll be right there! Give me 10 mins! Keep them alive for 10 mins!" You put down the call, immediately picked up your bag and left without saying goodbye. 

"Oi! Nurse! Can you hear me?! I need updates on the patient! Send me their medical file now." You were in the cab, just 5 minutes away from the hospital. You immediately received the file and looked through it, "Bob. Age 20. Victim of hit and run , still alive, difficulty breathing due to collapsed lung, legs badly damaged, currently in operation room, currently on artificial breathing system." Rushing through the file, mentally taking notes, you arrived at the emergency department  and prepared for operation. 

Sekihan was confused at your sudden and rushed departure, he began to get interested,also, he got a glimpse of your legs 'such wonderful legs, such stamina, i wonder what she works as' his mind wondered to various answers. He decided to finish his meal to investigate further into you. 

He asked the counter as they seemed to know you since they were talking to you as you bought your food.  "Excuse me, do you know that girl who was having a hard time with deciding?" He asked. You close friend was the salesperson, of course they knew about you. "Interested are we?" He teased "well, we knew each other since school days,right now she's working as a surgeon while I'm here serving sweets. Wait... if you're asking me these questions, you must have taken an interest in her. Good choice I must say, but if you dare hurt her even just a little, I will personally kill you. She may be smart but she had a hard time dealing with people, seeing that she was talking to you just now, maybe, just maybe, she must have felt comfortable talking to you. Ah! I can't talk much right now, I'm still on shift! I'll tell you more later if you're interested, but don't tell her you heard from me." Sekihan nodded "ah, one question before I leave, can you tell me which hospital she works at?" He looked at your friend awaiting a reply "Its (Hospital name), just down the street." 

Your friend, being a busy-body as usual, told Sekihan to go look for you and being the busy-body there are, he of course sent you a message that a guy was looking for you at the hospital. 

"OI! Increase (some medical stuff going on cuz it's a surgery after all)" 

You finally finished the surgery, "Good work everyone,it's a success" Bob, the patient,was brought to the ICU ward, you began giving out some instructions to the doctor and nurses in charge of him. They understood. Yoiu then changed out and saw that your phone has a  message 'Hm? What does he want this time?' Referring to your friend, who is very annoying sometimes, you saw the text 'Someone's waiting for you in the lobby and he's a cutie *thumbs up*" You chuckled at his dumbness. 'I wonder who is it.' 

As you made your way to the lobby,you began to hear singing 'heh? Singing? Whut' You mind was blank, thinking who would suddenly start singing in a hospital. 'Hm.. might be those volunteer groups here to cheer up some patients with songs' You smiled thinking about that 'wait.... THIS HOSPITAL DOES NOT EVEN HAVE THAT OAO THIS IS THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OAO' Now you were angry mixed with fear mixed with some form of confusion. 'I'll find out who this person is and make them leave quietly, but this song is so peaceful and so familiar' 

You reached the lobby, looking around, you saw that same cat " NYAAHAN!" You exclaimed subconsciously,forgetting you were still wearing the coat and in the hospital 'Oh snap.' You finally returned to reality when you hugged Nyaahan,but hugging a puppet meant hugging the puppeteer.

"Ouch" You rubbed your head as you made contact with... a human.. "S-Sorry!!" you immediately stood up "a-are you hurt anywhere? Did you hit your head? I'll check it out, follow me" He stood up,rubbing his head "Ouch, never expected you to actually hug me, but that was cute, I like it" you dragged him into your office,blushing from embarrassment the whole time as you were the kind of doctor that was serious and never showed your playful/fun side to anyone at work, but you just did.

Examining the cat dude, you were relieved "phew, no injuries,not even a bruise" looking directly at him, you asked "Was it you who was singing?" He calmly replied "Yes. I'm an utaite you see, so it's kinda my job to sing and looking at this place, it looked kind of gloomy so I wanted to lighten the mood a little, am I not allowed to do that?" he chuckled slightly awkwardly almost. You turned away from him, (You know, those doctor chairs, the kind that allows you to spin 360 degrees and still works perfectly fine kind) "I-I didn't say it was not allowed... g-great performance by the way" 

You face was red like a tomato as you have never met anyone like him and still being embarrassed due to earlier events. You turned back to him "What song was it anyway? I felt like I heard it before" smiling, he replied "Aku no meshitsukai (servant of evil). Did you like it?" You nodded, "Hey... If your work is done... should we go elsewhere?" Nyaahan covering his blushing face, you chuckled "hehe, sure. I'll just get my bag and we can-" 

You were interrupted when he turned you around and kissed you indirectly as Nyaahan was in between. "W-what, w-what was that 0_0" You were surprised, confused mixed emotions everywhere. "Hehe, sorry, at first I only thought you had nice legs, now looking at you closely, you actually have really soft-looking lips so I had to" He blushed while looking away. 

"A-e-er I-I e-er AH! I CAN'T SAY IT!" You grabbed his collar and kissed him smack on the lips without Nyaahan this time. 

Silence. "A-e-e-r I-I e-e-r" You totally embarrassed yourself again. "(Y/n)-chan,let's go shall we" Sekihan smiled gently at you, you nodded and you both left the hospital hand in hand.
