"Ryan! Ryan!" i recognized the voice, James.
there was a struggle and it took Tyler AND James to pull Ryan off of Miles, who slid down the wall and passed out on the floor.
that's what i was holding on for, to see someone get Miles. it made it better to know it was Ryan who had beat the shit out of him. my eyelashes landed on my cheeks and i fell into a deep sleep.
i woke up in a room. my room. i moved my head a bit and felt a horrible headache. i put my hand on my head and sat up. that's when i heard some mumbling. i turned to my right and saw Ryan sitting on the chair beside my bed.
                              "Ryan?" i asked.
his head hung down as he looked at his hands which laid on his lap.
i turned and leaned closer to him.
"I'm so sorry. i should have been with you.." Ryan still didn't look up at me.
"I'm okay, Ry" i replied. Im not that kind of girl who would cry for days or be tramatised. I knew i was fine, as in Miles didn't actually get through with his goal - rape.
"no you're not, Kris" he lifted his head "he could have hurt you!"
"but you came in and saved me" i said.
his head down again "but what if i wouldn't have made it in time?" he mumbled.
"it doesn't matter cause you did make it in time and that's why I'm telling you this right now. its not your fault" i told him.
he just shook his head and kept blaming himself. there was nothing i could do about it.
i looked down and noticed Ryan's bloody knuckles. i wrinkled my eyebrows, leaned in and grabbed his hands.
"its fine. i've been in fights before.." Ryan replied as i passed my thumb lightly over his knuckles.
"come on, let me clean you up" i stood up. he remained seated.
"I'm fine, really. you just go and wash off" he murmured.
                              "come on" i pulled harder.
                              "Kriste-"
"get your lazy ass up and let me clean you up" i replied before he could finish.
his mood instantly changed when a smiled gradually crept up on his face "well i don't think i could say no when you say it that nicely.." he stood up.
i dragged him to my bathroom. i turned on the cold water and let it run a bit. i then put his hands under the freezing water.
"holy-" he pulled his hands right out of the sink.
"put them back in, Ry" i told him.
he looked at me then obeyed.
after i had cleaned his hands, he dried them.
i looked up at the mirror and saw the small cut in my face from the slaps i undertook. i then saw what i was wearing. i was wearing my huge lazy day shirt. i lowered the top of my shirt to reveal the top of my chest. it was there, Miles had left his dark red mark. tears began to form as i remembered the events. large arms wrapped around my waist and his chin on my shoulder.
                              "I'm sorry, baby" he whispered.
i put my hands over his and tried to not cry. not in front of him. a tear slipped out and down my cheek.
"don't cry. please don't cry" Ryan turned me around, wiped the tear away and hugged me tightly, protectively.
my face buried into his chest and i began to do exactly what he begged me not to. cry. tears quickly slid down my face and i sobbed while he held me. he began to draw shapes on my back and hum a song to me. i soon calmed down and stopped crying. i pulled back and looked up at him. i then looked down at the ground. he lifted my chin.
