Waking up on a Saturday to the sun gleaming over you while lying next to the person you love is one of the best feelings in the world. I yawned and turned onto my side to see what time it was.

"How could you be awake when you fell asleep like 2 hours ago?" he groaned.

I smiled then turned around and watching as he shielded his eyes from the shining sun, "I don't know," I giggled.

"what time is it?" he mumbled.

"it is about to be 10 in the morning,"

"fuck," he sighed before slowly sitting up.

I sat up also and rubbed my eyes, "why? Do you have to be somewhere?"

"yeah, babe, I'm sorry. I have a lot of things today," he ran his fingers through his hair and licked his lips.

I then puted. I had been hoping we could spend the day together or something...

He flipped the covers off himself and stood up, "I got a game today at 2, then I have to buy Jayjay something because I promised her that I would be at her party by 8,"

"wait, is it her birthday or something?" I asked.

"yeah," he nodded as he dug through his drawers in search of something.

"why didn't she tell me?"

Ryan threw clothes onto the floor in search for whatever he needed as I watched from the bed, "she probably forgot or some shit." The pile of clothes was beginning to irritate me and his desperate need to find something was causing him to automatically take clothes out of the drawers and throw them onto the floor. "It would be great if you came to my game, and Jayjay would probably want you there at the party,"

"I don't know about the game, I mean I want to go, but I don't want to be there alone,"

"I'll be there, babe," he chuckled.

"you know what I mean," I laughed.

He then understood and shrugged, "you could invite someone,"

I ran my fingers though my hair and began braiding my ends, "like who? Maya isn't an option, and Jayjay is probably already doing something..."

"invite that chick in our history class, Becka," Ryan suggested while changing.

"Becky?" I corrected.

"I guess,"

I shook my head at the idea. I barely knew the girl and had only spoken to her out of class once or twice. I would also be lying if i said it wasn't a very awkward experience.

"Kris, you don't have to go. I just said it would be great if you did. We'll go to the party together," he said while pulling out some sweatpants.

"But I feel bad that I won't be at your game..."

He took one of his West Eastman University hoodies, "it is fine," he laughed, "we'll drive up for the party and that will make up for the time you missed me,"
