Song for the chapter;
                              Mad by Ne-Yo
                              RYAN'S POV
Two people I swore would never meet were standing yards away from each other.
Kristen was so mad at me and I knew it. I was treating her like shit, I know, but I was doing it for a good reason. Protecting her was my full intention tonight. If Kelvin knew how much she means to me, he would try to turn her against me just to get to my money. No way in fucking hell someone is going to pull her away from me. No one and never.
I didn't let her play the game and I ended up winning it anyways. Afterwards, we all sat on the couch and began to talk. Except for Kris who seemed to be completely zoned out, I gotta admit, most of the time, so was I. I laughed at one of Kelvin's lame ass jokes before finishing the beer I had in my hand. After sighing and putting it on the table, Kelvin finally stopped laughing and looked at me dead in the eye.
                              "Ryan, let's talk" Kelvin said.
"Not now, I'm obviously trying to enjoy the party" I chuckled, trying to not create any unwanted attention from Kris.
"Now Ryan, I need to know where the money is coming from" Kelvin replied strictly.
I felt my jaw clench slightly after the words came out of his mouth. I tried to seem relaxed but it didn't really go as planned. I then covered my ass, "Get me another beer" I told Kris as I leaned my elbows on my knees.
I waited for her to leave, but moments later I felt her presence remain.
                              "Excuse me?" She fired back.
Whatever you are trying to do Kris, this is not the right place or time.
"I said get me another beer" I repeated as we made eye contact. My gaze was strong and in wanted her to leave before things got worse and every second she stayed, they did.
"Get your own damn beer, jackass" she harshly replied.
Alright so she is disagreeing with me and on top of that she is fucking embarrassing me in front of Kelvin? The act was not in place anymore, true anger replaced it.
"What the hell did you just say?" My eyebrows furrowed and I couldn't believe she just said that.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She stood up.
"Where the fuck are you going?" I growled while standing up also. If she takes one mother fucking step, I swear-
"I'm just your friend so it's none of your god damn business." She jeered.
"Don't you walk away from me" I raised my voice at her. Anger rushed through my veins as I watched every move she made.
She then rolled her eyes; that bothers the living hell out of me and she knows it.
My jaw clenched and eyes narrowed, challenging her. She wouldn't dare walk away from me. I felt as if steam was shooting out of my ears when she glared at me before turning around and walking away.
My fists tightened and I watched as she stomped away proving her point of being mad at me. I don't give a flying fuck. I was being rude to protect her, and then she disobeys me and makes me mad. The fuck is wrong with her?
"Sit down, no distractions. Let's talk" Kelvin said.
I turned to him then sat down "she's not a fucking distraction"
"Whatever you say, Ry" he chuckled.
After talking for a while, I still never admitted to helping Tyler with the drug money, why would I?
