I flinched "what?"
"No, let's change that. You were in a fuckin closet and making out with him!" He raised his voice drastically.
I stood in silence and shame.
"Dammit Kristen, I told you he was up to something. I also told that fucker to stay away from you" he yelled.
"It was an accident" my voice sounded so small against his.
"An accident my ass. How could you!?"
                              "Ryan, I-" I tried.
"What the hell is wrong with you? How could you sleep in the same bed with me after you made out with him?" He said loudly.
"It wasn't like that!" I said.
"That's fuckin bull" he rolled his eyes.
I played with my fingers then realized something.
"How did you know that?" I mumbled.
                              "What?" He turned to me.
"How do you know what happened?" I repated.
"Doesn't matter how I know. All that matters is that you did it!" He shouted.
"Were you watching me!?" I asked.
"Hell no. I have more important stuff to do. I thought I could trust you and now I guess I was wrong" he answered.
                              That hurt.
"Who was that on the phone?" I quickly recovered.
                              "Nobody" he said.
"Who was it, Ryan?" I said louder so he could hear.
                              "Nobody!" He shouted.
I sighed. He stood there with an angry face.
                              "Leave, Kristen" he mumbled.
"What?" I said, half because I didn't hear him and the other half cause I couldn't believe it.
"Are you deaf? I said get the fuck out" he told me.
"Ryan I'm sorry. It was once, I didn't mean anything" I said as my voice cracked and while burning my eyes into his.
He stared back at me. There we stood. Furious at each other and now we are just staring. I noticed his breathing evened out and he seemed to be calming down. He then sighed.
He looked at the ground "I need to be alone. Please, Kristen. Just leave"
"Alright" I looked at the ground and slowly walked to the door. I grabbed the door knob and paused. "I am so sorry. It was a stupid move and I feel horrible"
"Damn right it was stupid" he murmured.
                              "Ryan-"
                              "Kristen" he mocked.
"I'm sorry" I whispered before opening the door and stepping outside.
I closed the door and felt the guilt smack me like a wall. I began to cry when I remembered how wrong and bad it felt but never pushing Jake back. Our relationship was going so well and then he just had to find out about it. How did he find out? No one was watching. Or was there? Whoever was on the phone, told him. Who was it? Why would they do this? Who would do this?
This is my fault. Not Ryan's. He has the right to be pissed off - I kissed another guy while in a relationship. What was I thinking? I don't think I was.
I stepped out of the elevator and while cleaning off the tears I had shed. Regret, shame, and guilt hung over me like a cloud. I walked out of the building then remembered that Ryan had driven me and now I had no ride. I sighed and pulled my phone out to call someone. Anyone. Maya? JayJay?
