Chapter Twenty
It was pure bliss.
Everything is. I never thought na dadating yung araw na mae-excite akong gumising araw araw. There's always something to look forward to.
I slowly opened my eyes. The first thing that I saw was my fingers entertwined with his. I smiled at the sight of it.
I can feel him breathing heavily on my nape. Mahimbing pa din ang tulog niya. Last night, he offered to sleep beside me in my room. Wala si Tatay Noli dahil sinundo ito ng kapatid nito kahapon at mamayang tanghali pa ang balik.
Hindi ako tumutol. Gusto ko ding maramdaman kung paano matulog na katabi siya. And I like the feeling. No, I love the feeling.
I've always seen myself as a precious one because of the attention I get from other people and because of my social status and reputation. But having someone beside you who treats you like you're a delicate crystal gave me a feeling of more than being precious. He's the first guy to give me so much respect. He didn't take advantage of me. That makes me fall for him more.
Yes, I'm falling.. I admitted that to myself many times already this past few days. I fell so deep at hindi ko alam kung makakaahon pa ba ako.
Hindi ko alam kung paano niya nagagawa sa akin to. Ang alam ko lang, he's just being himself around me. Nadagdagan lang ng sweetness, but he's still the guy who annoyed me so much when we first met.
I turned around to face him. Dahan dahan ko yun ginawa para hindi siya maistorbo sa pagtulog niya. I stared at his face. He's sleeping soundly. He looks more handsome while asleep.
How is this possible? How am I able to feel this way? This is too much. Fucking too much that it makes me want to cry.
I sighed as I continue to stare dreamily at him. I wonder how much I'd be willing to pay to the world just to make sure that his face will be the first thing that I'll see everytime I'll wake up in the morning.
I ran my fingers through his hair. Then trace the bridge of his nose with a finger. He flinched and I smiled. He looks cute when he does that.
His eyes did some movement while still closed. Unti unting bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Gigising na siya any moment and that's what I'm looking forward to.
Slowly, his eyes opened. I saw how his eyes focused on me. I gave him a warm smile. Ngumiti din siya pabalik sa akin.
"Good morning, mahal." He said with a husky voice.
My heart fluttered and did some somersault. Hindi ko na kinakaya ang kilig. Pakiramdam ko mapupunit na ang mga labi ko sa sobrang pagngiti ko.
"Good morning din, mahal." I whispered.
He closed his eyes again. His smile never leaving his lips. His eyes opened again and stared at me.
Bigla tuloy akong na-conscious. What if may muta pala ako? Or gulo gulo masyado ang buhok ko? I never felt so conscious of myself before.
"Maganda ka, wag kang mag-alala."
"Huh?" I asked. Was he able to read what's on my mind?
"Nag-panic ka bigla eh. Nakita ko sa mga mata mo. Don't worry, you look perfect. Damn, you look perfect in the morning.."
Posible pa kayang may mas ingiti pa ang mga ngiti ko? Kasi kung oo, yun na yung gagawin ko.
He pulled me closer to him and hugged me. Hindi na ako nagdalawang isip na yakapin din siya. His body was warm and I love the feeling of it. It feels like I really belong here in his arms..
