JEWEL
Chapter Twenty-five
She stepped out from the car and look at the fifty-five storey building in front of her. The sudden sense of familiarity enveloped her. This has been her routine every weekday morning for the past three years. Who would've thought that she'll enjoy working for their business empire. She can still clearly remember how she despise things that has to do with their corporation, but now, it seems that helping her father and brother has been an innate trait in her.
'The only thing that's really constant in this world is change..'
And she has changed.. A lot.
She greets back every employee with a nod and a timid smile.
A crowded lift is one of her petpeeve. It irritates her.
She stepped out from the lift when she reached the fiftieth floor. She was once again greeted by their employees in the Advertising and Public Relations Department of the Angeles Group of Companies where she is working as the Officer-in-Charge.
Sales went higher than the previous years as well as their trust and satisfactory ratings. She has never been so happy when she saw how proud her family was. She was also emotional when she recieved her first ever paycheck. It was the fruit of her labor. She worked hard for it.
Since then, she became aware of how she spends money. She always put a part of her salary to savings. She gives emphasis on her needs and not with her wants and whims. She also became interested with investments. As what Jigger would always say, she reached the level of financial maturity.
At the age of twenty-seven, she is now financially stable and secure.
If she only knew that she'll enjoy what she's doing right now, noon pa sana niya sinimulan ang pagtulong sa negosyo nila.
"Good morming, Miss Kaye! Here's your coffee."
It was her favorite and she won't start the day without it. She sat on her swivel chair and scan the documents in her table.
"He brought these documents personally? Why?" she asked.
"I don't know, Miss Kaye.
