*******************************************
Day 10 of the 12 Days of Loki. This seriously is moving way faster than I expected it to. Anyways, go check out my new story, Black Cat. (Sorry I'm advertising it so much, I've been working on it for a while and I'm pretty proud of the story.)
*******************************************"(Y/n), are you ready to go to Tony's party yet?" Natasha asked, knocking on your door.
"Yeah, let me just grab my Secret Santa gift," you said, grabbing the present from your nightstand.
"Who'd you get?" she asked, trying to look at the tag.
"Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of Secret Santa?" You joked, putting your hand over the tag. You had actually gotten Loki, which you had seen as a stroke of luck since you happened to harbor a *slight* crush on him. It wasn't hard shopping for him, seeing as the two of you had been close since he had joined the team.
"Hey, earth to (y/n)," Nat said, snapping her fingers in front of your face.
"What? What's up?" You asked, snapping out of your daze.
"You got Loki, didn't you?" Natasha asked, a smile playing on her lips.
"No, what made you think that?" You tried to play it off, releasing a nervous laugh.
"You did, you never act like that unless it's about him," she teased. "You better get your focus back, we're here." Sure enough, the elevator doors opened to reveal a completely Christmassy living room.
"Looks like Tony went all out," you said in amazement.
"When don't I?" Tony said as he greeted the two of you. "Alcohol is over there, presents can go beneath the tree, and other people are over there."
"Thanks Tony, merry Christmas," you told him, hugging him.
"Merry Christmas, (y/n)," he replied. "Is that gift for me?"
"In your dreams, Stark," you laughed, going over to the Christmas tree. You greeted the rest of the team, noting that Loki was missing. "Hey, Thor, where's your brother?"
"Lady (y/n), I believe that he's out on the balcony," Thor responded, giving you a large smile. You nodded your thanks before going off in search of Loki. Sure enough, he was leaning over the balcony railing, looking out over New York City.
"You know, it's a lot nicer to look at than to try to take over," you joked as you joined him.
"Very amusing," he replied, looking at you for a second before looking back out at the city's lights. "It is amazing though. To think, if I had succeeded, none of this would be here," he said, a bit of guilt present in his voice.
"Okay, let's get off that subject. This is your first Christmas, isn't it?" You asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Yes, it is. Although, I have to admit, Stark's way of celebrating doesn't catch my eye," he told you, now turning fully to face you.
"Yeah, I don't really do parties but it's kind of a tradition," you shrugged, looking in at Tony and Steve having a drinking contest. "He does realize that Steve can't get drunk, right?"
"Who knows," Loki shrugged. "Would you like me to get us some drinks?"
"Yeah, sure. I'll put on some music," you told him as you pulled out your phone. That was how the two of you spent a few hours, listening to music and drinking on the balcony. A Frankie Valli song started playing and Loki looked at you questioningly.
"Why do you have this song?" He asked.
"It reminds me of when I was younger. My family used to go to this restaurant and they had a live band. Every time we went, they played this song at least once," you explained.
"May I have this dance?" Loki asked, standing up and offering his hand to you. Your cheeks started tinting pink, but you took his hand nonetheless. The two of you danced closely, letting the music wash over you. "(Y/n), can I admit something?"
"Yeah, of course," you told him as you looked up.
"For a while I've been having feelings towards you. I like you, and as more than a friend. I was wondering if you would be mine," he said nervously.
"Yeah, I would love that," you told him, a soft smile gracing your face. The two of you stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, until someone came to get the two of you to rejoin the party.
