This is like my third time rewriting this thing. I really wanted to do this but had no idea how but here it is.

Experiment 634. That's all you were, all you had ever known yourself as, and all that they would ever let you be. You were one of the few to survive their experiments, but the little bit of fight you had left hindered you from becoming their weapon. That was up until last month, when you had been rescued by Clint and Natasha. The rescue had shown SHIELD what you could do, thanks to Hydra.

The thing is, no one tells Loki when there's a new 'stray', as he tends to call them. So when he saw you sitting in front of Natasha reading a book, he was a bit surprised. "Who is that?" Loki asked, grabbing Pietro who happened to be walking by.

"That's (y/n), they found her in the Hydra base raid last month," Pietro replied. "Where were you?"

"I was in Asgard, as you should've known," Loki said, not taking his eyes off of you. Your (h/l), (h/c) hair was falling over, hiding your face from view, making you seem smaller than you were.

"Loki?" Pietro asked, drawing his attention from you. Once Loki looked at him, he spoke again. "I could introduce the two of you."

~~Meanwhile~~
"Natasha, is there someone staring at me?" You asked quietly, the hairs on the back of your neck standing up. Natasha looked away from the television, eyes scanning the room.

"Just a couple of idiots," she told you. "Pietro and Loki."

"Who's that?" You asked, looking up at her. "Loki, I mean."

"I guessed that much," Natasha laughed. "Loki is Thor's brother, he tried taking over New York a while ago."

"And now he's working with you guys? Is it okay to look or are they still looking?" You asked, growing curious.

"Yes, he's working with us. And you're okay to look," she replied. You looked up, your (e/c) eyes instantly meeting Loki's green ones. You could feel your cheeks heating up as you quickly dropped your gaze.

"I hate you so much," you whispered to Natasha.

"You might wanna calm down a bit," she warned. You didn't feel anything wrong, other than the embarrassment coursing through your veins.

~~Back to Loki~~
Loki's eyes widened as the flames licked at the tips of your hair. "So that's her..." He trailed off.

"Power? Yeah, it gets out of control when she feels something, or that's what Banner told us," Pietro replied. "It normally turns off by now." By now the flames had started to creep onto your shoulders, burning the fabric on there.

"Oh crap, I better get out of here," you said to Natasha but just loud enough for Loki to hear. He watched as you ran out of the room, the flames beginning to die down slightly.

"I'll see you later," Loki told Pietro as he went to follow you. He heard Pietro mutter something under his breath, but that was already the least of his worries. He followed the wisps of smoke that seemed to be making a trail for him, soon reaching your room. Loki heard the sound of running water, confused, he knocked on the door.

"Nat, I'm telling you this is all your fault," you replied, opening the door. Once you saw who it was you gulped before saying, "You're definitely not Nat."

"No, I'm not," he laughed softly before noting your now wet hair and clothes. "What happened?"

"Oh, uhm, I had to stand under the shower just to make sure that all the fire was out. I'm still working on controlling it, if you couldn't tell," you replied shyly. It was something that you were insecure about, not having a grasp on your powers. Wanda and Pietro had seemed to take to their powers so naturally, and you envied them for that.

"Well, I was actually wondering if you'd like to get together some time," Loki asked, hopefully. He had known of you for maybe twenty minutes and you had already managed to intrigue him.

"Wait, but we barely know each other," you replied, your cheeks heating up. 'Please not again.'

"Well, that would be the purpose, to get to know one another," Loki replied with a smile.

"You know what, sure," you gave in with a shrug. "What's the worst that could happen?"

"I look forward to it," he said, going to turn.

"Yeah, me too."

"Oh, and (y/n)?" Loki added.

"Yeah?"

"Your hair's on fire again," he said as if it were the most normal thing in the world before walking back to the common room. 'And it freaking happened again,' you thought, making your way back to the shower.
