Chapter 29: Revelations

Jane's POV

I need to tell her.

I really need to.

Nakukunsensya na ko. I can't resist it anymore.

I can't sleep last night just because of that. I'm afraid she won't believe me. I hope she'll believe or else... she'll suffer. Ayokong maniwala siya sa isang kasinungalingan at kalokohan. It's my heart and mind who's telling me to do it.

I dressed up and went to school, I didn't attend the two subjects in our class. I texted them and they are hurrying me up.

I hurriedly went down the stairs that I almost slip. "Mag-iingat ka, hija." Mom said.

"Yes ma, I really need to hurry up. Babye! Love you!" I said and kissed her cheeks.

I was wondering if I can say it to her today or I'll mumble words and cry for a certain reason. Baka magmukha akong tanga. And I don't want it to be the reason for our fight. I don't wanna lose our friendship. Sisisihin ko nun si Jekoy pag nagkataon.

Then, Kris is calling me.

"H-hi Bestie!" I uttered.

"Uh, are you on the way? Kanina ka pa namin inaantay."

"Y-yeah. Uh... it was just... traffic. Don't w-worry malapit na k-ko."

"Okay. Bye! Take care!"

"Take care, too. Bye!"

She ended the call which makes me feel so relieved. I was nervous at the time I was talking to her by the phone. My gahd. It was obvious that I'm uttering.

"Jane!" Kris greeted. I waved and ran to their direction. I was kind of nervous at this time, but I need to let go of this emotions I have when I heard the nonsense conversation of the boys.

"H-hi!" I uttered, again. They seem curious of my actions so I can see their eyebrows furrowed. "Uh... Let's eat?" I ask, changing the topic. They nod and went inside the canteen.

"I'll order your foods, what do you want?" I ask, I volunteer so I can think of a better move to tell her later. They told me their orders and I fall in line, thinking of it.

When I was on our table, I can observe that they are looking at me, secretly. "Bakit kasi hindi niyo na lang ako tignan ng diretso?" They were shocked, as if I can't see their faces a while ago.

"E kasi, you're being weird this past few days and we don't know kung ano 'yang gumugulo sa utak mo." Sandy said and the two just... nod.

Paano ko ba sasabihin? Ugh! "I... I... Meron kasi akong kinikimkim na secret na kailangan kong sabihin but it's for Kristine's pro...protection? I don't know what to call it but it's really important for you to know it Kris." She looked at me with confusion.

"What is it all about? Private ba yan or something?" Anna asked then looked at Kris, who is now on uncertain condition. What if I would say it all? Ganyan din kaya ang reaksyon niya? I pity her for having a boyfriend like that.

"I... I'll tell you... later after class." I told them and continued eating. But even we are talking about another topic, I can feel Kris' nervousness. I don't understand her expression. It's complicated and can't be figured out.

The bell rang and we went to our classroom. I did try to concentrate to the discussion of our teacher yet I was distracted. Being in this situation is really hard, more for Kris if she already knew.

Kristine's POV

"Class dismiss." Our teacher said. It was the last week of our class today because it's March and next week would be our exams. But lately, I was distracted of my unknown thoughts about my lovelife. It's getting me nervous everytime. And here comes Jane, telling me to talk to her at dismissal which is happening now.

"Where will we talk?" I ask her and she pointed at the garden. We sat at a bench and I thought we're just two in here but we're four, Sandy and Anna came.

"What's with the sad face Jane?" Anna ask with a light chuckle. I thought she would smile or reply or something but no, she's just remaining... silent.

We're having a moment of silence for about fifteen minutes but then again, Jane broked it. "Kris... I need to tell you that it's all fake." She said. I know it's just 4pm but it's like I don't know the exact time. What does that mean?

"Wha-what do you mean? What is fake? What is that?" I ask. I'm trembling in nervousness right now. She's not responding on my question. "TELL ME!" I shouted, I can't control myself anymore. I'm being confused everytime!

She was about to talk when Jk, Drew and Bry came. She looked at them seriously. But she glared at Jk. Why?

I saw Jk is trembling and shaking his head mouthing a 'no' to Jane. May alam ba sila na hindi ko alam?

"Kris..." She stood up and held my hand. "You need to know this."

"What?! Kanina pa ko naghihintay! Ano ba yon?!" I can't control to shout. I was angry.

"Your... Your..." She can't continue what she is saying. Tears were falling down from her cheeks. The boys? Their heads were all down. What is happening?

"My WHAT? Jane! Be straight to the point! Kinakabahan AKO!" As soon as I was shouting loud, tears were more from her.

"Your relationship with..." She paused and hiccuping.

"With who?"

"With Jk is... all..."

"All WHAT?! I cannot wait!"

"All fake."
