Sandy's POV

It's Saturday today and it's Kristine's birthday. OMG! OMG! OMG! I'm really excited for her 10th birthday! But I don't have a gift for her yet cause we have a class yesterday and I don't have the time to buy her a gift.

I took a bath and changed my clothes. I texted Jane and Anna.

To: Bestie Jane; Bestie Anna
Goodmorning girls! Better wake up! It's Kristine's birthday today! Don't forget it cause she will kill you. *insert evil laugh*
No, I'm just kidding. I need your help. Let's buy her a gift. So please hurry up. I'll see you at the park at 10am. Seeya~ :*

After that I went downstairs to eat my breakfast.

Yan! Baliw ako no? I'm just like that ever since so be used to it. I prepared all my things cause it's already 9am. If it's Saturday, I'm too lazy to wake up early cause it's our FREE TIME!

Kristine's POV

What a good yet bad morning! Huh?! I'm crazy right? It's bad cause I wake up too late and good cause it's my birthday TODAY!!! I'm so excited!

I took a bath and get dressed. I wore a simple pink v-neck shirt and shorts. I opened my phone first cause I know it will flood messages here in my room. Just kidding.

I was really surprised. I got 300+ notifications on IG, Twitter and Facebook. I also got 30 messages.

I did not bother to read the messages cause I'm hungry right now. AS IN! I already went downstairs and surprisingly, I don't see anyone. I mean, I don't see my family in front of the stairs shouting with a banner saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTINE!!!'

I don't know why they are not here. Like hello it's my birthday today. Can anyone greet me aside from the notificationss I get a while ago?

"Manang! Manang?" I shouted.

"Oh iha. Gising ka na pala. Happy Birthday pala anak!" Aww. Manang Hilda is so sweet, she greets me even if I'm not her daughter. She used to call me 'anak' cause she's been my yaya ever since I was a baby.

"Thank you po Manang. Asan po sila? Ba't wala po atang tao sa kwarto nila?" I asked.

"Umalis sila, may aasikasuhin daw. Baka mamaya na daw sila makakabalik. Di na ata dito magtatanghalian." I slightly nod on that.

I feel a little bit sad cause we're supposed to be complete on my birthday. And now, I'm alone in here. But not literally, I am with Manang Hilda and our other maids. I'm bored and...and...sad, of course.

"Manang, aakyat na po ako." I said in a sad tone. I went upstairs crying until I was lying on my bed.

What a SAD BIRTHDAY!

*RING! RING! RING!*

Someone's calling. I look at the name flashed and I saw the name Jk. I answered the call.
