Super High School Level Impersonation Master Chouko Oyashi's POV
As soon as Mr. Jing released us from detention, I made a beeline for my room. Before my hangout with Xindel, I wanted to change into something more suitable than my typical low necked shirts. I mean, first hangouts can't be too casual. You need to get to know the other half of the relationship before things can come to that, you know?
I changed into a mint green dress and high heeled black boots that reached my knees. I took a silver necklace (which I had secretly snagged from the slow walking Ayameko's shelf of jewelry before she arrived back to the room) and pinned it around my neck to cover up my chest and neck with a little shimmer (as my dress had just as low a neck as my regular shirt).
I took a butterfly clip and pinned my turquoise hair back so it fell over the rest of my hair gently. A smile spread over my face as I skipped for the door. I hadn't even gotten to meet with Xindel yet, and I already had the sneaking suspicion that tonight would be one of the best nights of my life, even with the detention incident.
Super High School Level Ninja Zuka Fubayashi's POV
I stormed back into my room and threw the door open. Sure, I didn't talk much regularly, but this wasn't a regular situation.
"Chiyosu!" I yelled, breaking my quiet streak that had lasted almost the entire day.
I noticed my roommate was asleep on her bed. Upon realizing that I was present, she raised a hand and gestured shooing me away. The fire in my stomach grew ever more, making me ready to go all stereotypical ninja on her, which was something I preferred not to show anybody. Even with all that Chiyosu had done to me that day, I was still hesitant to show her what I could really do when I put my mind to my goal. I wanted to keep a good reputation, after all.
"Go away, Zuka..." I heard her groan in irritation. "Can't you see I'm trying to sleep here?"
"You got us all in detention!!" I shouted at her. She barely flinched at my voice's volume. I suppose I really need to work on getting my yelling to be at least a little bit louder so I can threaten people when needed (even though ninjas need silence as well).
"So what? That teacher just ruined my good time, and I didn't want him to again," she murmured, rolling over in an attempt to fall asleep once again.
I could feel anger bubbling up in my core. I resisted the urge to shout at her even louder than I had before. I could end up arrested for disturbing the peace by doing that.
"Now, if you'd please, my great roommate, leave me alone so that I can catch some sleep. Unlike you, I can actually get over things and get a little bit of rest after a stressful day," she continued.
"You're acting worse than that snotty guy who calls everybody peasant!" I shouted. "Byakuya Togemon or something like that!"
I could have sworn I heard a distant voice from outside the room say, "You are hurting the esteemed pride of Byakuya Togami."
Chiyosu rolled her eyes. "We're distant cousins, you know. It's only natural that I'm worse than him because I don't have the pride of a bunch of other snoots getting in my way of being confident and a little rude when needed," she explained. "Now, Zuka, for the eleven thousand thirty seventh time, please shut up and let me sleep."
Knowing that arguing with her was pointless, I growled one final time before storming out of the room. Stupid prideful women with their stupid prideful distant cousins.
With Chiyosu living in the same room as me for the rest of the school year at minimum, I had a feeling that there would never be a dull moment.
Or a moment where I wasn't being pushed around by the prickliest person I've ever met.
Super High School Level Judge Ayameko Etsuko's POV
I took a seat on one of the numerous benches spread throughout the campus of my current school. I inhaled deeply and sighed afterwards. I always loved this time of day. I remembered that when I was little, my prince and I always watched the sun set. Come to think of it, he was somewhere in this school at that very moment, but I knew that I'd see him sooner or later, especially when we had a few classes together.
I tried to ignore the fact that since I hadn't gotten any homework that day, during detention, all I did was watch him twiddle his thumbs helplessly. Why would I do that? If he had sensed me staring (I was thankful for the fact that he didn't, though), I would have been busted and somebody would have figured out that I have had a crush on him since we were little.
Speaking of crushes, I noticed Chouko exiting the nearby doors dressed up like she was going out on a date. Her dress and hair blew in the gentle wind of the evening and I had to fight to keep my hair from doing the same. The back of the bench wasn't helping to keep my tresses restrained at all, let me tell you.
"Where are you heading, Chouko?" I asked my roommate curiously.
"Xindel and I are meeting up to go and hang out," she grinned. I got the feeling that she was incredibly excited about this meeting coming to pass.
I smiled in return. "I hope you have a nice time."
Chouko continued to beam until she noticed the man himself exit the school. "Thanks," she whispered before running over to him, despite her feet being covered in two inch heels.
I wondered if I would ever be that way with my prince (who, if I haven't mentioned yet, is a prince).
I guess I was finally admitting that I was in love.
