Super High School Level Judge Ayameko Etsuko's POV
I sat outside Sabastian's room at the end of school that day, waiting for him to come back from detention. I really needed to talk to him about our relationship. I had been thinking on asking him out for a while, but was that really the right way to go? I wasn't at all sure if he liked me back, and if he didn't, I didn't want to get attached only for my hopes to get smashed into oblivion...
"Ayameko?"
I jumped slightly and pushed myself to my feet upon hearing Sabastian's voice calling my name. I had been so lost in thought that I didn't realize he was standing over me, shadow cast over my previously sitting form. He always had been a considerable amount taller than me...
"H-hi!" I stammered, struggling to get my words out as heat flushed my face. Why did I have to look ridiculous now of all times I could look crazy? Just my luck, I suppose... "H-hey Sabastian..."
"Are you okay?" Sabastian asked uncertainly. "You're acting weird..."
"I'm okay," I assured him, despite barely being able to hear the prince above my pounding ears. So much for not being nervous. "I just want to talk to you about our relationship."
"What about it?" Sabastian questioned.
"I've kind of... Well... How do I put this..." I muttered nervously.
Sabastian gestured for me to continue. "Yes...?" he prompted.
"I... Like you...?" I said, uncertain of if that was what I'm suppose to say. What? It's not like I've ever confessed my love to anybody before! Sabastian would tackle them before I got the chance to, anyways. He was always really defensive over that stuff, though when I asked, he always denied it...
Sabastian gaped at me for a few seconds before blinking. "What?" he eventually asked. "Like... Seriously?"
I looked down and nodded slightly. "Y-yeah..." I whispered shyly. Why did I ever think this would be a good idea?! Now, Sabastian is going to hate me, I'll end up alone while Chouko goes off with Xindel and-
I realized at this point that Sabastian was smiling. Not demonically like 'oh I just found some good blackmail against you now do what I say' but rather... A regular, happy smile. I stared at him in confusion, waiting for some sort of explanation as to what he was up to.
"Are you alright?" I questioned cautiously, taking a careful step closer to him.
"I'm better than alright!" Sabastian exclaimed.
I blinked. "What...?"
Before I had time to say more and demand an explanation from him, Sabastian swept me up into a hug, leaving me a confused blushing mess. Despite my confusion, I was still happy. After all, I just found out that apparently the boy I've liked as long as I could remember liked me back! Today was the best day in the history of Ayameko Etsuko!
Super High School Level Horror Akane Misaki's POV
Things were lonely back in my dorm room. I looked around the empty room and sighed. I had always been used to being alone, but I never said that it brought me satisfaction. In fact, it was the complete opposite; I hated it.
I sighed and took a seat on my bed. As far as I could tell, all of the other eight in our little group were starting to make friends. Well, all except Chiyosu. I'm pretty sure that she's almost as demonic as I am. Maybe even more so. And believe me, that's saying a ton about both of our creepy factors.
Speaking of which, the girl herself knocked on the door and walked in, not caring about if I answered the door for her or not. "Akane?" she asked.
"What?" I asked, crossing my arms. Ever since the detention fiasco, I hadn't really been the biggest fan of Chiyosu Sunadu or anybody related to her. I bet that they all came from the underworld. Just like that annoying rich dude who always called himself esteemed. He's lucky I don't call my underworld spirits on him for having that over confident, take charge sort of attitude. Believe me, I've been considering it quite a bit since we have half our classes together.
"Do you want to hang out tonight?" the actress questioned with a small smirk. Half of me immediately screamed 'no.' A girl like her had to be nothing but trouble. I may be horrifying, but I still have my pride and reputation to maintain.
"Why?" I prompted instead, glaring at her slightly. Do you blame me for being suspicious of the girl who sold me and everybody else in our first hour out to the teacher for a crime we didn't commit? Anybody would have a similar reaction, so stop mentally judging me, got it?
"I just think that spending time together would help us get to know one another a little better," Chiyosu smirked. "Get to know the layout of the land a little bit, play a few pranks, scare a few people, make them faint from shock... The usual thing I'm sure the Super High School Level Horror would enjoy pulling."
That did start to sound a little bit satisfying, honestly. But was this really a good plan? I had already made that Elec kid faint and fall off of his stilts just by looking at him. Chiyosu could mess up my image even further than that if we went too far on this stuff...
After hesitating for a few seconds, I sighed. "Sure," I agreed, to which Chiyosu grinned. She clapped her hands and pulled me out of the room.
"Alright," she began with a small smirk that only grew in evilness. "Here's the plan. We're going to..."
I nodded as she explained her plot. It sure did sound like fun, if I'm to be completely honest. And if this was as fun as it was sounding, I had a gut feeling I would like Ms. Chiyosu Sunadu.
