I rose from the sofa and walked towards her, Dimitri behind me.

"The door is there for a reason," I said. "To keep unwelcome guests like you out. You don't just enter someone's house."

"Whoa, relax," she said. "I just came to tell you what your landlord told me to. He said that it is past Monday and you will be evicted no later than tomorrow morning."

I was shocked at the news. And why would Mr. Right tell her of all people this?

She turned to Dimitri. "I know you paid her electricity bill but there is no way you're paying this bitch's rent with our money."

This bitch just never learns.

"So we're going down this lane again," I said. "You better start repenting for all your bitch ass sins 'cause you're about to meet your maker!"

I gave her a shove that sent her crashing into the wall behind her, then ran to her and was just grabbing her hair when Dimitri pulled me off her.

"Calm down, Vivica," he said softly.

Was he for real?

"Don't tell me to calm down!" I said. "Were you just going to stand there and watch her disrespect me like that? huh? She is your bitch and you better get her skinny ass outta here before I have to do it for you! And you can get your ass outta here too! You betta hurry before the last strings holding me together break!"

"Vivica?"

"Out!"

"Ok. But I'll be back when you calm down," he said, then went out the door.

I looked across the room at Amanda, still lying on the ground.

"Skedaddle, bitch," I said. "Or do you need my help?"

She made it to her feet and moved towards the door, muttering something under her breath.

"What was that, bitch?" I asked.

"Nothing," she said.

"Yea. That's what I thought."

I let out a heavy sigh as she went through the door and dropped myself onto the sofa.

How the hell am I going to come up with $75,000 by tomorrow morning?!

I got up and started pacing. There had to be a way. I could not get evicted. I had nowhere else to go.

My door was pushed open and Flo walked in.

She took some heavy breaths before saying, "I came as soon as I heard the news."

"What news?"

"That you're being evicted tomorrow morning," she answered.

Great. Everyone knows.

"Why am I the last person to hear this?" I said. "Isn't this supposed to be personal?"

"Girl, this is Jamaica," she said. "Nothing's ever personal. Besides, some white girl has been walking around telling everyone. Do you know her? I think her name is Amanda or something."

I looked at her, shocked. Was she talking about that Amanda?

"What did she look like?" I asked her.

"How many white Amandas do you know?"

"That bitch!" I said. "It's the girl I've been telling you about. Dimitri's wife."

Her jaws dropped. "Lets go get that bitch!" She said, getting up.

I got up and followed her out the door, then led her down the road to Amanda's house.

I walked up to the door and knocked calmly.

"What are you doing?" Flo asked me.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" I said. "I'm knocking."

She smiled. "No, no, no," she said. "You don't knock when you're angry and ready to get someone." She walked up to the door and started banging heavily against it.

"Who the hell is that?!" I heard Amanda say from inside.

"Open up, bitch before I break this door down!" Flo yelled.

"I'm calling the police," Amanda said.

Before I could protest, Flo gave the door a mighty kick that sent it crashing on the ground inside. She jumped over it and grabbed the phone from Amanda's hands.

"I already called the police!" Amanda said, stepping backwards, away from Flo.

"I don't think so," Flo said.

I stepped over the door and joined Flo. "My name is not food, bitch," I said. "So please keep it out of your mouth!"

"What are you talking about?" Amanda said, still stepping backwards.

"I heard you're telling everyone about my eviction."

"Why would I do that? I didn't even know about it until some time ago. Your landlord told me and then I told you. Who else here do I know?"

"Bit-" I didn't get to finish. She had stepped back enough and was now standing beside a small table. I didn't notice when she took up the lamp but was shocked when it missed my face by just a few inches and landed with a crash into the opposite wall.

"And here I was going to let you go for good behavior," I said.

I walked up to her and grabbed her by the collar, then followed her into the wall behind her. "Listen up, bitch!" I said. "The next time I hear that you've been talking about me behind my back, its not going to be this easy. Capiche?"

She nodded and I let go of her, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

I turned around and walked out the door, then heard Flo walking out behind me.

"Run, girl!" Flo said when we were on the road again.

"Why?" I asked as I began running.

"'Cause she called the police."

"How do you know that?"

"What did you think I was doing with her phone all that time?"

We quickened our paces and as we got to my house I noticed Flo was running past it and down the road.

I stopped. "Where are you going?" I asked her.

She stopped also. "She knows where you live so she'll definitely send the police over here. Come and stay with me if you don't want to get arrested again."

"I'm staying at home," I said. "And how do you know I got arrested?"

"News travels faster than light here," she said. "I'm going home. I'm too young and pretty to go to jail."

"Take yo crazy ass home," I said with a smile.

She laughed and continued running and I walked up the driveway and into my house.

I was shocked out of my wits at what I saw.

The living room was ransacked. Everything was on the ground and almost all breakable items were broken.

No! No! No! No! This can't be happening again!
