"Emma please, you're being silly." Regina begged her girlfriend.
Emma ran a hand through a hair and continued to pace backwards and forth.
"I'm being silly? Regina how dare you! Do you know how terrified I am of losing you?!" Emma snapped.
"You're not going to lose me. He's just my friend." Regina sighed.
"He's also your ex." Emma spat.
Regina stood up and grabbed Emma's arm, stopping her from moving.
"And that's how it's going to stay. I want you. Not him." Regina smiled.
"You're spending a lot of time with him lately. What if those feelings for him come back? What if you abandon me?! After Neal I find it hard to trust. It's a fucking miracle if I get close to people. Regina I love you, I do but I can't do this anymore." Emma said as tears filled her eyes.
"You can't do what?" Regina asked confused.
Emma pulled away from Regina and looked away.
"I can't be with you anymore."
"Emma you don't mean that. Stop being stupid." Regina said shaking her head.
"Oh I do mean it. You have Robin, you'll be fine." Emma said fighting back tears.
"I don't want Robin. I want YOU! What part of that don't you understand!?" Regina said as the tears fell from her eyes.
"I'm sorry Regina." Emma cried.
"Fine. I can't deal with this. You need to get a grip. Emma I loved you. I loved you with my all and you had to go on and on, about Robin. So what if I'm friends with my ex? It doesn't mean anything. If I wanted him I wouldn't be here. Kissing YOU. Hugging YOU. Making love to YOU. I've tried and I've tried to make you see that it's you that I want but you just can't see that. So go. Walk away. But I am done. You once said that I'm turning back to my old ways of being The Evil Queen, well Miss Swan. If you thought I was bad before...You haven't seen nothing yet." Regina argued.
As soon as Regina said "Loved" Emma didn't hear anything else. She felt her heart break and that's when she knew she had gone too far.
"Loved?" Emma whispered.
"Yes loved. Emma you just kept going on and on about how I wanted Robin, how I didn't care about you. My feelings slowly went away for you because I couldn't deal with this. Emma I will always care about you and I will always love you but I can't keep going on like this. Telling you I want you. Telling you I love you, if you don't believe it." Regina spoke calmly as the tears slowly fell from her eyes.
"Regina I'm sorry." Emma said her voice breaking slightly.
"Emma, it's too late. This can't be fixed." Regina said looking away.
Emma went to grab Regina's hand but stopped herself. Biting her lip hoping the tears would stop she let out a small growl. She felt like kicking herself.
"Can we still be friends?" Emma asked hopeful.
"Honestly, I don't know." Regina sighed.
Emma felt like she was going to throw up. Her entire world had just come crashing down. She fell to her knees as she began to sob.
"Regina I'm sorry. Can we just sort this out? Please. I love you." She begged.
"Emma..."
"NO! Regina please! I can't lose you. I need you." Emma cried harder.
"Emma..."
"Regina." Emma cried.
"EMMA!" Regina yelled.
Emma opened her eyes and saw Regina looking down at her, concern written on her face.
"Emma you were having a bad dream." Regina whispered as she gently wiped Emma's eyes. She leaned down and kissed Emma's cheeks, kissing the tears away.
Emma felt herself relax. It was just a dream.
Regina gently stroked Emma's cheek and smiled down at her Princess.
"I'm sorry." Emam croaked out.
"What for?" Regina asked confused.
Emma sat up and gently pressed her lips against Regina's.
"I just am."
"Emma if you're apologising for what happend in your dream, then don't. It wasn't real." Regina chuckled lightly.
"I love you."
"I love you too." Regina smiled.
"No I mean it. I love you with everything that I am. You're my world. You have stolen my heart and I'm trusting you with it. When I first met you I thought wow, what a bitch but as I got to know you I slowly started to fall for you. You have completed me. You're my other half." Emma said looking deep into Regina's eyes.
"Oh Emma."
"I heard this story, about how the Chinese believe, millions of years ago there were souls and they were so happy and in love but The Devil, he didn't want them together so he ripped them apart and it's believed the two souls are searching for their other half." Emma said.
"Soul mate."
"I found mine...You." Emma whispered as she caressed Regina's cheek.
"Emma...I don't know what to say."
"Say you'll marry me." Emma smiled.
"What?" Regina asked confused.
"Regina, will you marry me?" Emma asked.
A smile crossed Regina's face and she gently pressed her lips against Emma's.
"Of course I will."
