The End

A/N: This was inspired by the song, The End by Little Mix.

It was a typical day for Emma, she went to school, met up with her friends...Get ignored by the girl who was supposed to be her girlfriend. This is what it was always like for Emma. She would put all the effort into their stupid relationship and Regina would only be there when it suited her.

All of Emma's friends warned her, warned her that would Regina would mess her around but Emma didn't believe them...She was absoluetly smitten with the beautiful girl.

But enough was enough. She couldn't take it anymore. She wanted Regina to put 100% into their relationship...Or none at all and that would be the end of them.

The past few weeks Regina had changed and acted like a proper girlfriend but she had gone back to her old self so Emma decided to take action.

She sat in the cafeteria with her friends and they talked and laughed. Regina walked over and went to kiss Emma's cheek but the blonde moved away and glared at Regina.

"Em?"

"We need to talk." Emma said bluntly and stood up.

She looked at her friends who smiled sadly and nodded their heads. Emma let out a sigh and walked out of the cafeteria and outside, Regina close behind.

Emma led them to some benches and they sat down.

"Em? Babe what's wrong?" Regina asked concerned.

"So much is wrong Regina, and it's not my fault. Let's be honest here. You don't love me. You never have and you know you never will. I know this. My friends know it too." Emma paused and stood up clenching her fist. "I've put everything into this relationship to make it work. I-I-I was there for you when your friends turned their backs on you. I was there when you needed to vent. I cared about you. I fucking loved you! But...But now....I don't know Regina...You keep messing with my heart. The same heart I have had broken multiple times. I can't do it anymore. This is the end. Of us. Dating and being friends. You just keep messing with my heart and I can't take it anymore."

Regina stood up, tears in her eyes. She tried to wrap her arms around Emma but she took a step back away from Regina.

"Emma, please. Let's talk about this." Regina pleaded.

"NO! I'm done talking, because everytime I want to leave and we talk you make me fall for you all over again and I stay. Not this time. You'll continue to hurt me and play with my feelings. I know you like Robin so fuck off to him."

"I love you." Regina cried.

"I can't keep lying to myself. I always think one day you'll love me like you say you will...But you never will. I say I won't leave, but this time I have to leave...I don't wanna get hurt again."

"Emma please...Just shut up and kiss me."

Emma knew Regina wouldn't give up, so she had to do the one thing that would make Regina leave. Biting her lip and fighting back tears she looked Regina directly in the eyes.

"I don't love you anymore. I don't care about you anymore. You are nothing to me. Not my friend, not my girlfriend. Nothing."

Regina gasped and backed away slowly as the tears fell faster.

"I'll always love you and want you Emma Swan...I just don't know how to love very well and because of that I lost you. I'm sorry." She said before turning around and walking away from Emma.

Emma rested her hands in her hair and gently tugged out of fustration.

"It was for the best." She repeated over and over.
