Emma waited for Regina to returni home, she was sat on the sofa her knee bouncing up and down. Her fingers dinging into knee. She couldn't believe she was about to do this, but she couldn't carry on living a lie. She didn't understand what was wrong, she had told loads of lies to people..But other than her Mother, telling a lie to Regina made her feel guilty. She couldn't keep it any longer..But she couldn't confess to the lie...
The front door opened and Regina stepped inside and quickly took her jacket off and hung it up.
"Hello Dear." She greeted Emma as she walked into the living room. She went to peck her lips but Emma moved away.
"We need to talk."
Regina gave her a confused look but sat down when Emma did.
"What's wrong?" Regina asked concerned.
Emma let out a shaky breath and fought back the tears but failed. "We're not working out Regina. I love you but I can't be with you anymore."
"That makes no sense..."
"It makes sense to me. You're too good for me. I don't deserve you. I love you with all my heart. I've packed my bags and my parents have said I can stay with them until I find somewhere else."
"Emma, where is this coming from?"
Emma bit her lip, she couldn't contain it anymore. She couldn't keep it to herself. The guilt...It wasn't eating away at her and she was ready to burst.
"All I ask is that you don't hate me, because you hating me is what would destroy me." Emma cried.
Regina quickly wrapped her arms around Emma and hugged her tightly.
"Please tell me what you've done or what's happend...You know I could never hate you. I love you too much."
Emma smiled but she knew that Regina would hate her for what she did...But she had to let it out.
"Remember a few weeks ago I was at a party with some friends?"
Regina hummed a response letting her know she could continue.
"Well, my friends had said some things and it got to me, like really got to me...I took it out on you...I took it way too far...I panicked. I thought I had ruined everything."
"Wait, wait." Regina stopped and pushed Emma away gently and her mouth opened slightly in shock. "You said Lily had your phone and that it was her...Even Lily apologised.."
"I asked her to cover for me."
Regina stood up quickly and ran a hand through her hair. "So all those mean things that Lily said...It was really you? You said those things?"
"Yes...I didn't know what to do. I was scared I was gonna lose you. It had gone too far for me to apologise. I'm sorry." Emma cried.
Regina walked out of the room and left Emma for a few minutes, when she came back she had Emma's bags in her hands.
She threw them on the floor in front of her. "Get out." She said quietly.
Emma quickly grabbed her bags and walked to the front door, Regina followed her and opened the door for her.
"Please don't hate me." Emma whimpered.
"I could never hate you but..But this won't just go away. You lied to me. This will take time to fix...That's if it can even be fixed." Regina said calmly before gently pushing Emma out of the door and slamming it shut.
Emma stared at the door for a few seconds before turning around and walking away.
She hates me, no matter what she's said...She hates me.
