Nobody could get close, everyone that tried she pushed away. She would never give her heart away again. Last time it resulted in heart break and she refused to feel like that again. Emma Swan shook the thoughts of her ex away as she took a sip of her strong whiskey and eyed every girl in the room, still deciding who she wanted to approach to take home for the night.
That all changed when the new bartender began to work there.
"Her name's Roni." Emma said to her only friend as he sat down next to her. "But I feel like she's lying about that."
"Why do you care so much?" Killian asked taking a sip of his rum.
"Who said I care?" Emma smirked as she took a sip of her drink.
It's been a while since I've felt this way
Roni walked towards the two with a smile on her face. That stupid smile that made Emma's heart flutter. It felt like it had been forever ago since she felt that.
"You want a top up?" The bartender smiled.
"Aye love." Killian winked at Roni earning a glare from Emma.
Killian turned to his blonde friend and grinned once Roni had walked away. "You do care Swan, you gave me the bloody devil eyes because I winked at your girl."
"She's not my girl." Emma growled.
"But you wish she was." Killian laughed.
You got this way about you
Emma couldn't help but stare at Roni's ass as she began to sway her hips in time with the music that began to play over the speakers. She turned around and caught Emma looking. She bit her lip as she walked towards them with their choice of drink.
"Hey Roni." Killian said sitting up more. "Why do they call you Roni? Surely that can't be your name."
"Killian!" Emma hissed as she elbowed him. "That's fucking rude!"
"It's alright Dear." Roni said with a smile as she looked into Emma's eyes.
Emma's heart fluttered once again as Roni called her Dear.
"I tell this to everyone, but my name is actually Regina...I dislike the name alot so at work I call myself Roni and so does everyone else."
"Regina is such a beautiful name." Emma said without realising.
"It sounds beautiful when it comes from out of your mouth." Roni, or Regina winked before walking away.
"She was flirting with you Swan." Killian said getting excited like a child going to Disney.
"Calm down." Emma said moving slightly away from her friend.
You make me melt
Emma couldn't help but feel her insides melt though as Killian was right, she had kinda flirted with her...As much as Emma didn't want this to happen she actually did want this to happen and she loved it.
Those eyes are greener than the trees
Regina turned her head to face Emma after she served another customer, their eyes locked and they both gave eachother a knowing look.
Regina couldn't believe how green Emma's eyes were under the lighting. They looked so beautiful, so unique. She had never seen eyes so green before.
"You know my name, so what's yours?" Regina asked.
"Em-
"Killian Jones, at your service madam."
"Nice name, but I was talking to the beautiful woman sat beside you."
Killian grabbed his drink and stood up from his seat. He leaned down to Emma's ear and began to whisper. "I'll leave you two to it then. Good luck Swan."
As he walked away, Emma rolled her eyes.
"So...I believe I asked for your name."
"Swan. Emma Swan."
"Em-ma." Regina said with a smile. "I like it."
Regina rested her arms on the bar counter in front of Emma and the blonde leaned closer.
It was there, that Regina could truely capture the colour of Emma's eyes.
That give me oxygen to breathe
"Emma." Regina said quietly as she felt herself start to lose control.
"Hmm?"
"I...I get off at ten....If you'd like to come back to my place for a few drinks."
"I'd like that." Emma said giving a weak smile as she wanted to give into temptation.
They couldn't fight it anymore, they had noticed eachother for a few weeks and with each look, each glance they began to fancy eachother more.
Now, they were here. Slowly kissing over the bar, not caring who saw them. Killian watched them with a smile on his face but soon, the attention of a dark haired woman caught his attention instead.
They pulled away, breathing heavily.
Suddenly, a light swept across the bar and everyone looked around in confusion.
"Emma."
"Regina..?"
"What the bloody hell happend?!" Killian asked standing up and walking to the two women.
The door to the bar opened quickly and a young man entered with a little girl by his side.
"Moms."
Regina and Emma turned their heads at the same time to see their son all grown up.
"Henry...Wha...What happend?"
"A curse happend. Luckily I learned some magic before the curse was set. I didn't have enough magic to stop the curse...But I did have enough magic to make sure true loves kiss broke it."
Emma and Regina stared at eachother in disbelief.
"We're tru-
Regina cut Emma off as she kissed the blonde again. This time more passionatly.
"Yes." Regina whispered as she pulled away. "We are."
Emma smiled and kissed Regina once more.
Henry coughed and they pulled away, this time looking at the child in front of him.
"Meet Lucy...Your granddaughter."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GRAND DAUGHTER?!" Regina shouted as her eyes went wide.
Emma quickly kissed Regina once more which caused the older woman to sigh happily. Everytime Emma kissed her, her heart fluttered and it was as if all the air had escaped her lungs. Emma literally took Regina's breath away.
You leave me breathless.
