Ayah in the media above ^
It's one of the first things about Surah Baqarah that blew me away, and it's the main reason this book exists. Reflect and share!
Spending out of what Allah has provided them is a characteristic of the Al-Muttaqun (those who fear Allah). We often think that this part of the ayah is only relevant to the adults.
But SubhanAllah, the ayah encompasses more than just wealth. Allah has given us an abundance of time and talents, the two things that we often take for granted.
Everyone has something that they're uniquely good at. Find it, and spend it in the way of Allah. The ummah needs you to get up and speak out, or the world will never know what the true essence of Islam is.
Never think of your contribution as insignificant. No struggle done in the way of Allah is ever too small. Remember that little birdie that got water in her beak to pour over the fire that Ibrahim AS was put in? She could only get a drop or two and the other birds mocked her.
But here's the thing. Allah is interested in seeing our efforts. He loves seeing our best, maybe not the best.
It's for us to strive and Him to do. It is not for man to look for results.
The ummah needs all the hands it can get. Start a blog or a YouTube channel, write a book, paint, do what you're good at. And if nothing else, spend your time in His path.
Take a step, you've got Allah by your side!
